I moved my stuff from Chicago to Italy. When I first started my search, I was lost; I did not know where to start. Then a friend of mine from the Consulate in Chicago mentioned Prisma. I contacted their sales representative Sandraya. She was very helpful and explained me the entire process patiently. On the day of the move I had a doctor appointment, which took me longer than expected. When I came back home I saw the truck parked in front of my house, 5 movers were waiting for me. Even though I was 45 minutes late they were very nice, did not get angry at me and started to go room by room and pack everything. I have a lot of paintings. They managed to wrap them one by one and put in a big crate. Back in Italy I was so afraid to have damages but not one single item was broken. Also I had to pay $500.00 port charges, but Sandraya had told me, so I knew what to expect. I am very glad I took the decision to use Prisma It took away a lot of headaches from me. Excellent job! Prisma Cargo Solutions moved me from New York to Berlin, the movers were professional, skilled and quick. I used to live in a very high scale condo in Manhattan, the movers were very attentive not to create any damage, they packed everything with bubble wrap very good job! They kept me updated all the way and told me where my stuff was, the operation manager answered all my questions and I had a lot! I selected Prisma Cargo Solution after interviewing several companies because they seemed the right fit for my necessity.

I had to relocate form NYC to Italy.

We agreed on a contract and scheduled a pick up day.

The day they were suppose to pick up my stuff they did not show up and after a tedious round of calls they agreed to show up the next day with a lot of problems caused to me since on that day I was suppose to fly out.

When my belongings were delivered to Italy I was put in contact with a local forwarder, which communicated to me that had to pay additionally more than $1000 extra for Terminal Handling charges, when in New York Prisma Cargo told me it was going to be only a few hundred dollars.

Before my belonging were delivered to me this cost escalated even further...



Not a company to trust at all stay away from them.

I scheduled a move with Prisma and everything was going well until my furniture arrived. My bed arrived broken to the point where I could not assemble it. I took out insurance on my shipment, Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it right. Well that's what I thought. Come to find out, Prisma's insurance department never insured my move, they didn't notify the Prisma moving department either. They found out 12 weeks later when I did There reason it was cancelled was because I paid my premium late. I paid the premium late because they took 4 days to send me the bank infomation so I could complete my wire transfer, I had already paid a deposit for the move. So, after several phone calls with them I got the BBB involved. This ordeal resulted in a refund for my insurance premium that is, you guessed it, no where near enough to repair my bed, let along buy a used one. Also, they are lousey at estimating fees. They estimated my fee for the European port would be between $150 - $250. I received a bill from the delivery company for $800. Of course some information was made available to me after the fact. It is always better later than never. Especially one that is much more internally organized that this one.

We were doing an international move and the customs officer told us this shipping company didn't know what they were doing. Thus he could not release our shipment because the shipping company had not followed the correct import procedures nor did they fill up the paperwork correctly. When my belongings finally arrived, I was horrified to find out that there were no helpers to unload from the truck and bring it into my apartment. Out of goodwill, the (already upset) driver helped me unload the goods off his truck at the loading dock, but I was left alone to haul it into my apartment. At the end of it all, they tried to put the blame on us, came up with lots of excuses and tried to make us pay for additional handling and storage charges.

To my great benefit and fortune I was contacted by a Prisma agent and received assistance with my international shipping and relocation process. It was a pleasure to do business with a fully professional and experienced shipping company like them. I found solutions to all my problems and questions. Prisma agents provided great help and made all set out smoothly.
