The Westbury Fire Department is responsible for responding to various fire, medical and automobile accidents. The department provides a range of engineering activities, such as preconstruction plans review, fire protection system review, consumer product data collection and fire code development. Additionally, it offers training and emergency medical programs and various educational and community awareness programs. The Westbury Fire Department also operates a junior fire department for girls and boys between 14 and 18 years of age. It is located in Westbury, N.Y. The department s equipment list includes smoke detectors, fire trucks and carbon monoxide detectors.
