The Stefanelli Company

In my 35 years of working as a landlord, I have never seen a more disreputable property manager. When questioned about a $200,000 deleading contract, Ms. Stefanelli was slow to provide information and what information provided was scant. There were only two bidders for the job and the contract was awarded to Alpine for $200,000 with the contract specifying staging. The scaffolding cost approximately $160,000. Once the contract was awarded, swing staging was substituted and there was no change in the cost. Swing staging is substantially cheaper.

When I, as an owner, questioned Ms. Stefanelli, she had the association lawyer send numerous emails and letters to me in what I perceived was an attempt to intimidate me. At the annual meeting, Ms. Stefanelli hired a police detail. At no time did I ever raise my voice of threaten anyone, however, one of the former board members, Richard Norsworthy, became so agitated with my questions that he lunged to attack me and had to physically restrained.
