They take advantage of the elderly. If your chair breaks down and you need someone to repair right away they charge $200; you're stuck because the elderly need that chair to get up and down stairs. My 94 year old mother's chair broke; in the summer 100 degrees and they gave her a appt of next day in the afternoon. She is paying for a maintenance contract, which apparently isn't worth the $350 she is paying. Then they wanted a credit card number to bill her so when he does come to repair, if he's there more than a hour they're going to bill her for the visit. Watch out for this company..everything may be glorious when you buy it and when it works but if it breaks down they're going to milk you for every penny they can get out of you. I think they are unethical and take advantage of the elderly. Won't put my name because I don't want to put my mothers repair in jeopardy.

I've been in construction in NYC for 15 years and found Mobility to be the absolute worst subcontractor I've ever had to deal with. The delivery was late, the installation took 16 weeks and now the elevator continuously breaks down. I had to bring in a second elevator company to review the installation and found that the install had several flaws. Mobility made up for their incompetence by employing rude and non-responsive people. I would strongly suggest not using this company.

Hip News (Heightened Independence & Progress) ran a story in their winter 2012 issue, on George V. from Ft. Lee, NJ. Hip provides full or partial funding for home modifications. Hip funded a stair lift from Mobility Elevator & Lift Co. for Mr. V. He can finally be able to enjoy his outings that he so much missed as a result of a Progressive physical challenge that made it impossible for him for 55 years that he resided in his home. If you need to install an elevator, wheelchair lift, or stairlift in your home, these folks will give you really good advice. They have a wide product selection and installation is done very cleanly. You can see lots of their products in action in their showroom, too.
