Piano lessons and sight-singing lessons (how to read music as a singer). Auditions, competitions, and recitals available. Preparation for music school and professional auditions. Music theory, stage presence, technique, how to interpret artistically, and how to solve problems as you practice. All taught by a professional performer trained by The College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati; MM degree in Piano, with instruction in Piano Pedagogy. Undergrad, B.A. in Music from Tufts University. Active in MEA-NJ (Music Educators Assn. of NJ; serves on hospitality committee and performs regularly in Scherzo Club) and in online piano pedagogy groups. We tailor instruction to the student and the student's goals, offering multiple different curricula to choose the one best suited to the student. Our studio takes field trips together to go see top-notch piano concerts and chamber music concerts that include the piano so the students can experience excellence in performing and develop their own dreams and aspirations. The field trips also enhance camaraderie in the studio to encourage duet-playing and help students feel at ease in our recitals as we perform for one another. Currently teaching ages 4 to 75 years. Dynamic teacher offering practical approaches with vision and inspiration. Two lesson plans: "weekly" and "tuition", choose the one best suited to your goals and needs. We do have a friendly dog (yellow Lab) and cat in the house (for those who are severely allergic). Lessons are on a gorgeous 1906 Bechstein grand piano, 7.5 feet long with ornate carved music desk and ice cream cone legs. (Photos below.) Come learn on one of the best pianos in existence.
