Eye Examination Center

This place is an absolute SCAM! Please please please.. Don't waste your time coming here. I wish I would have done my research before going there. After my eye examination, I was told that my insurance covered only 20% for frames; anything else would be out of pocket. I was completely side blinded by this, since at work I have the ability to check my eye coverage and it said they covered $130 for frames and 20%off anything over $130.00. The lady... who is unbelievably RUDE!!!, who does not know how to provide SUPERIOR customer service did not believe me. I immediately called my insurance, while I was at this facility, and they stated that I was indeed correct, spoke to the same lady who told me otherwise and on top of it all, faxed them a copy of my coverage. I am still asking myself where did they get the coverage they "claimed I had" originally, even after verifying that my customer ID was still the same and it had not changed. Once they received a copy of my coverage from the insurance directly, I was quoted 3 different prices for the frames. Let me just stop here for a minute. NONE of the frames had a legit price on them. The first time I asked the lady how much my frames were she said $298, a little later she said $350 although I corrected her that she had told me $298, but completely disregarded me. She then stated that my lenses weren't covered because they were "designer frames" and that I would have to pay an additional $70 for both my husband and I since he was getting frames too. I tried explaining to her that one thing does not have to do with the other and that my lenses were supposed to be covered. Again, she didn't even take a look at my coverage and stated "that's the standard charge and that's what we charge everyone". I was so aggravated that I gave in, total of $460.00 between my husband and I. I started to do the math once I left and I noticed that it didn't add up. She took the $130.00 off for each frame but did not take the initial 20% off anything over $130.00. I called my insurance again and they were able to verify that my lenses were $0 cost for both my husband and I regardless if they were designer's frames. I went back to the facility and the lady was extremely rude and annoyed with us. The insurance called them as soon as I got there and the lady stated " I am not a manager I don't have to speak to them". I told her that if she couldn't pick up she needs to get her manager on the phone and conference the call over to them since they were off. The lady finally picked up the phone and told my insurance that my frames alone were $450!!!!!!!! Which was completely false information!! and that she forgot to give me my discount of 20% off anything over $130.00. I was outraged by this, these frames people are $80.00 online. When I confronted her charging me $70.00 each for the lenses, she completely ignored me. That alone was $140 in total between my husband and I. After the lady finished speaking to the insurance, the insurance called me back to ask me if everything was clear now. I said to her no and I feel like I'm being scammed. Not once did this lady from the facility have the audacity to apologize to me. I was able to cancel the transaction and the insurance cancelled the authorization code for my fames and lenses besides the eye examination code since I had them on the phone most of the time and even something wasn't smelling right on their end. Mind you, while I was waiting for the lady to cancel my transaction, another customer was trying on frames and he asked for the price. She literally said these frames are $80min-110max. How do they determine how much the customer SHOULD PAY?? Based on their looks or what they are wearing? This to me is discrimination!!! Please please please people do not come to this place.

I went to this place for my contact lens and they gave me the wrong order with the wrong prescription. They refused to refund my money and return the incorrect order and when I asked to speak to the management I was dismissed and ignored. When I finally got a hold of the management he was extremely rude and spoke to me as of he was higher than I was then he hung up on me. I am currently taking legal action against this place. DO NOT GO HERE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
