America's Best Contacts And Eyeglasses

I took my granddaughter to pick up her glasses and was truly amazed by the excellent customer service. Yvonne spent quite awhile adjusting the frames to ensure a perfect fit. She went above and beyond to calm my granddaughter when she became upset over giving up her old glasses. Our family will definitely be using this America's Best in Towson for all our eyeglass needs.

Americas Best may sound like a decent, reasonable choice when looking to purchase a new pair of glasses or contact lenses but think twice. They should rename this place "America's Worst - Including our employees."



First off, upon entering their office, we were greeted and in the midst of explaining what we needed, the receptionist completely blew us off and answered the phone. There was no "Can you please hold on one second?" or anything. After she got off the phone, they directed us to fill out paper work and go sit in the back - no further directions as to what we were to do next or anything. We filled out our paperwork and sat there, waiting for someone to approach us or a doctor to come out. The doctor came out, looked at us and went right back into his office. After sitting there for 5-10 minutes, we walked back up to the front and they said, "Oh yeah, turn in your paperwork and the doctor will be with you shortly." Could have told us that from the beginning!



Once the doctor had called us back, his attitude was no different and he was extremely arrogant. He also seemed like he wanted to rush and not take a couple extra minutes to do things correctly. They even wrote the wrong prescription!



After getting the eye exam, the staff was no more help than they were from the beginning. Completely ignorant and unprofessional to say the least.



About a week and a half later, no call, so we called them to find out that the glasses were in and headed back down to pick them up - again, to deal with the ignorant staff. Once we get there, we get the glasses and look over them. We ordered one pair of sunglasses that were to be tinted and one pair of prescription glasses that were not to be tinted - We went over this literally multiple times with the woman working there. Needless to say, both glasses were tinted. We complained and they attempted to remove the tint from the glasses but were unsuccessful and told us we could either come back later or they may even have to send them out. Well, they had to send them out and we have to wait again. While we were there, we noticed that they had the complete wrong contact number - it wasn't even close and where they got it from is beyond me. We explain to them that we're tired of driving 30-35 minutes down to their office and they tell us that they will ship them as soon as they get them in.



About another week goes by and no call or glasses, so we call them. They claim the glasses are in but they could not get a hold of us since the contact number was wrong...They didn't change it from the last time we were there and told them to! Imagine that...



All in all, this is the first and last time I will ever visit this company or this specific location. Their employees are non-competent, completely ignorant, arrogant and could care less about their customers. They would rather play on their computers and joke around with each other. After they have your money, they do not care about you, and that's that. We should have went and paid the extra money somewhere else and got them within a few days instead of this hole in the wall. I highly suggest you do your research before thinking about making a visit to America's WORST.
