Taste of India

Food was not as good as expected. Food was half cooked(Baigan Bhartha). Quality and Taste of food was not good. Its not a proper Indian Food.

Our group is of 8 people. Last Saturday, after enjoying our day in Virginia Safari (in Natural Bridge, VA) and the Blue Ridge Parkway drive, we planned to have our dinner in Taste of India. The waiter seated us together and was very nice by giving suggestions for food etc. But, the food was not to our expectations. The vegetarian dishes (Veg pakora, Malai Kofta) were comparatively better than the NVeg dishes. The goat curry was kind of soggy (even after we asked if the mutton pieces would be soft, the waiter said it would be). The rice was not cooked properly (never eaten such crispy rice in any restaurant). Dishes like Chilli Chicken, Fish Tandoori were not done the typical South Indian way we expected. The Seekh Kabab was better, but all the appetizers have lots and lots of onions (seems like half of what we pay is for the onions). On the whole, the courtesy was good, but the taste of food could have been better.
