Stanley Meat Market

This place has been in business a long time and the excellet quality has not changed. The meat is so much better than the grocery stores.

If I could give this place 10 stars...I would!!! If you are looking for quality (DELICIOUS) groceries at a competitive price, go to Stanley's. If you are trying to source TRUE olive oil from Greece, or TRUE Balsamic vinegar from Italy, go to Stanley's. Looking for some delicious craft food products, go to Stanley's. If you want friendly folks, who are extremely knowledgable about meat and vegetables, go to Stanley's. Ask Chuck or Sherry for a recipe suggestion, they have never given me bad advice. If you want to buy the BEST bacon in the world, go to Stanley's (definitely get some bacon!!!) This little grocery/meat market is just like the little grocers that used to exist all over the country. This is the way that shopping should be. When you want to find a better, more personal, experience than shopping at the "mega-marts", go to Stanley's.



I'm not quite sure why the other reviewer had somewhat negative things to say. When you walk in, the folks are friendly, and attentive. If you need time to read the board, just say, "I need a minute." You might ask, "What would you suggest?". These are good, kind people that truly care about the product, the shop, and your satisfaction. If you're in a rush, don't like friendly people, and/or are looking for typical junk quality food, go to Kroger or Food Lion.



If you're ever in Staunton, or even close, this place is WELL WORTH going out of your way to experience. Say hello to Chuck and Sherry when you walk in.

Great Meats, Great Service

The meat is great and so much better than grocery/chain stores, and is also less expensive. However, the employee was snippy a couple of times. This is a big turn off. Be nice to the customers and don't act like they're bothering you just because you open the door!
