Let me start by saying I HATE dentists. At least I always have until I saw Dr Kakales. I had a broken tooth with an exposed nerve and it was infected. From the moment I called the office, the entire staff was above and beyond phenomenal. They went out of their way to see me asap, were very empathetic to my pain level and my nervousness about having to have a tooth pulled, and my situation in general. In fact, they saw me the same day. The only other tooth I have ever had pulled was the same tooth on the other side of my mouth, and was performed elsewhere. It was a terrible experience, which had me very anxious. The entire staff immediately put me at ease. They made sure that they did everything right. I was prescribed antibiotics and pain medication, and I was given an appointment for early the following week to allow the antibiotics to take care of the infection. When they called to remind me of my appointment to have the extraction done, I mentioned that I was still in a lot of pain and that I was beyond ready for my appointment scheduled for the following day. They were able to move my appointment up and see me the day before instead. From the time I got there to have the tooth pulled, the entire staff made sure to do everything they could to relax me and calm my fears. Dr Kakales and his assistant made sure that the nitrous gas had taken full effect before beginning and talked me through the entire process. They used something to numb my gums before injecting the anesthetic into my mouth. I only felt one of the shots and it didn't hurt nearly as bad as it had at the previous dental office I had visited. I had no idea that Dr Kakales had even pulled the tooth. There was absolutely no pain or discomfort at all. I have definitely found my dentist and LOVE the entire staff at this office. They have completely changed my view of going to the dentist. I will never be nervous about having any dental procedure done again as long as I have these amazing professionals taking care of me. I HIGHLY recommend this office and Dr Kakales to anyone, especially anyone who has anxiety issues regarding having dental work done. They are by far the best in this area, and their fees were extremely reasonable, as I don't have dental insurance and had to pay out of pocket. Do yourself a favor and make this amazing group your new dentist. It will be the best decision you have ever made.
