I've been seeing Colietta Bassett for over a year. She's very polite and always discuss my last visits and ask how i'm feeling. I know she has other patients but i really appreciate how she take notes and keeps up with my specific issue and concerns. This makes me happy that I can discuss things with her and she keeps up with my progress. And the staff has been nothing but kind.

They changed who I was seeing to dr. callie c. bassett. This lady will is rude, lies, and looks down on you. Not professional at all. If you do come here make sure it’s not her your seeing.

Take this with a grain of salt, Dr Anderson and First Counseling are the real deal. The place is so nice and beautiful, the Staff the whole staff is caring individuals that are wonderful not only can they help you but make you feel comfortable without opiates. They do not tolerate bs but they have very big hearts and they have changed my life by giving me this one little pill I take before bedtime so I'm not all weirded out. I have serious Bi polar disorder and I was having a nervous breakdown and this place not only saved me but they saved my momma and loved ones because they don't see any wreck less behavior or mood swings at all, I'm now more stable than anyone I know , First Counseling and Dr Anderson is the answer , I pray yall join the team at First Counseling, it will be the best decion you ever made. I will never go to another Dr . This is the best place for any addict , please go to First Counseling I swear to God above that you will be I'm shock when your stable and more happy and content than anyone you know .

After reading these reviews I laughed and knew I had to leave a review for Dr. Anderson and his staff. I have been going to a psychiatrist for years and always wait for hours. So when I switched here it wasnt a big deal. Sometimes there are crisis..after all it is a psychiatric clinic. The ladies in the office have never been anything but helpful to me and my daughter. Its a great local clinic to go to in my opinion and I love Dr. Anderson and his down to earth attitude. He's easy to talk to and calls me on my bs!!! Which is why I like him and his staff.
I love the in house pharmacy. They make sure I get my scripts every month with no hassle.
Im guessing that if you had a bad experience at this clinic other than the wait time it was of your own making....

I've read the reviews and I guess everyone's experience is different. Mine experience was great. This is a teaching hospital so don't go if you don't like seeing interns. I was told the interns are not allowed to change your medications without going through the doctor or PA first (who is amazing and really really smart, I thought she was the doctor). Also, I was told that if I ever was in crisis or needed a counseling session with Dr. Anderson, it would not be a problem. They do have an in house pharmacy but I was not forced to use them, the PA gave me a choice and I'm actually glad I chose them, they mail my refills. I have been going here 6 months now and yes there is a wait sometimes, but what doctor's office do you go to now and not wait? That reflects the shortage of health care! Lastly, unlike other psychiatrist offices I've called, they got my appointment in within a month vs. 6 months waiting list at the others. And the PA and doctor both make you feel comfortable and at ease.

I hate that every time you go in there you have to see a different intern. They screwed me up because I'm bypolar with other stuff and add so I have to take Adderall well the intern gave me Vyvanse and didn't check my chart so when went to see my add doctor they would not give me my Adderall anymore because of the VYVANSE so I called dr. Anderson and told them what was going on. They said it was my fault and I lost my temper and they discharged me so I have to find a new doctor before my meds run out.

I tell you the truth the front desk staff is horrible I have been going here for my child for 2 years and they have been through 20 office managers. They have 10 people working in 1 cubby hole then still cant get the paper work correct. They call us to the back on one side and while we were in the back on the left side coming out, they was calling us on the other side talking about over here ma'am lol They need to get it together. I just dont know what to say about these hormonial horrific people are terrible(Front Desk associates) Now when you get to the back they are nice but the problem will be you getting back there I am looking to change her doctor all because of the front desk staff.

I have no idea what all these people are talking about this being a bad place!! They have been nothing but good to me, the pharmacy ladies are so sweet the front desk ladies are sweet and the manager is sweet and actually listens to what you have to say. Dr Anderson is a very cool guy and he actually helps me when I need help, people just need to realize that you don't just go in there to get meds and leave, if you only knew what they go through you would realize why they are the way they are! Anyways great place great people you just have to

This place is not good if you want relationship with your doctor. My husband took off work to see Dr. Anderson and was asked to see someone else. Why?? Because they overbooked appointments. Don't go there if you want a relationship with your doctor. Stop worrying about making money and take care of your patients. I was bringing both my boys and my husband. We needed help. I am glad you really cared!!!

Quack, quack, quack, now pay me.. That is all this place is about. I can not understand Dr. Anderson when he talks either, can not get authorizations to refill BEFORE a prescription runs out, and get nothing but attitude from the front desk staff. The meds they prescribe are important to a persons health and well-being they act like they could care less. I am giving one star because there must be a rating to post otherwise it would be a NEGATIVE 5 stars. Worst. Place. Ever.

The clinic is ok, but DON'T use their pharmacy! They messed up my meds that I usually get at Walmart. They kind of push you to use their pharmacy, so I switched. Didn't mail my meds, didn't return calls. I finally got them and was to p/u meds at office. They had 1 out of 4 ready and said the rest were still listed at walmart. Went to Walmart and they said they couldn't fill my order because my insurance denied payment until the NEXT month's supply. What a Screwup!!! I've gone without one of my meds for 3 nights ( 2 nights without much sleep). Not fixed yet, waiting for call back. so p....ed off!

This clinic is horrid, it shou...

This clinic is horrid, it should be shut down. Their staff is full of attitude and the lady at the front desk needs to find a job where she can roll her eyes somewhere else. The two exceptions from the horrible staff are one of their nurse practitioners and the lady with braids who works at the front desk in the mornings. I only met Dr. Anderson once and I had to wait an hour after my scheduled appointment time slot to see him for ten minutes. He did not explain why we were changing the plans his nurse practionare set up for my medication dosage on my first visit. To make matters worse his previous patient interrupted our session to let him know he had prescribed her the wrong medicine. It is extremely hard to understand what he is saying because he speaks under his breath and he is extemely unprofessional, he proceeded to re-write his previous patient's prescription during our session. He said he would e-scribe my medicine to my pharmacy but the front desk did not know which pharmacy I used. I had to go four days without my medicine because they never informed me about the mixup! I've been calling none stop today, Monday, to get my prescriptions authorized for a refill and all they can tell me is that he hasn't even taken a lunch break; so, of course, he doesn't have time to write a prescription for his patient who has gone four days cold turkey without her medication. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND SANITY HERE.

Overall
They don't call or give reminders like they used to

They close cases without notifying patients, don't give reminder calls, and don't put patients first. Most of their patients are not just there for counseling but that doesn't matter to them they are there for the money only. When an amazing woman that worked there left so did their pride. We would not recommend this place to take care of a dog.
