The pelvic floor consists of muscles at the base of the pelvis that control our bladder/bowel and sexual activity, support out organs and pelvis, and provide stability. Just like any muscles in the human body the pelvic floor can be evaluated and treated to perform optimally. Pelvic rehabilitation is a non-surgical approach to rehabilitation of dysfunctions in the pelvis that contribute to bowel, bladder, sexual health, ad pain complaints. Some conditions that can be treated by pelvic floor physical therapy include urinary incontinence, frequent or urgent urination, prolapse, pelvic pain, pre and postnatal wellness, and pain with sexual intercourse.

Known for her unique hands-on and holistic approach to physical therapy, Cheryl is most recognized and respected by thousands of men and women in the Intermountain region. Cheryl has been a Physical Therapist for over 15 years after graduating with her Masters Degree from the University of Utah Physical Therapy Program in 1998. Immediately after graduation, she developed a program for pregnant women having back, pelvic, rib and other pain and has been the pioneer in this field. She has successfully treated thousands of pregnant women as well as pre- and post-partum conditions. As a true pioneer, Cheryl’s vision to create a center that embraces and encompasses a multidisciplinary approach to healing was launched in December 2012. She also specializes in treating women and men with chronic pelvic pain which is a debilitating condition that has a wide range of symptoms.
