After three yrs of trying to get paperwork signed, enough is enough. I have left messages as well as my husband. He has gone to the office in person and even asked for Jeffrey Dorsey to call him back. We have gotten nowhere with this man. Now my husband and I are forced to pay out more money to get things reconciled. This is taking more money from our pockets that could be used for our children and extra groceries. This man claims to be an asst. pastor at a church as well. Come on! What kind of pastor would take from families only to cause heartache and distress? Well the answer is...this guy. Things could have been a lot simpler had he just done what he was suppose to. My heart aches.

Terrible Lawyer. I hired Jeffrey Dorsey to represent me in a misdemeanor family charge in Oct 2010. I was visiting VA at the time of the charge. Dorsey promised I would not have to ruturn to the state, and that he would take care of the charge- no problem. After changing my court date without notifying me, causing me to loose thousands in wages, I ended up spending about $2,000 more to come back to VA. And now that the case is "over" (he entered "no lo contendere" plea, he has not answered or returned at least 50 phone calls I have made with questions about how the charge affects my professional license. Terrible lawyer, trust me, the extra $500 is worth all the trouble he will cause you- get a real lawyer!

I would NEVER refer this guy to anyone! He is the most lazy and unprofessional attorney I have ever dealt with and I've worked for attorneys before! He NEVER returns a phone call even when you leave your number. He says he's waiting on the Judge's office to get back with a court date, really after 9 months you can't get a court date. What BS. He sits on his hands and the client has to do all the work. Then he lies and says he's waiting for this or that and in reality he's doing NOTHING, NOTHING with your case. He's lazy and a worthless attorney. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Oh and the 1 start was ONLY because I could NOT give him no stars. He deserves a negative star in my book!

Mr. Dorsey is in fact a pseudo-attorney. He hides behind low "set" fees, a good location, and his family's otherwise respectable name, then proceeds to let his client's opponent's attorney perform all the real work in a case, making their fees astronomical and significantly delaying legal processes that could be completed in a third of the time, freeing up valuable time and resources in the legal system, and to the detriment of his client. He routinely ignores requests from colleagues and "sits" on important paperwork. He has earned a reputation in the legal community for being slovenly and disorganized. In addition, he and his staff relay falsehoods to both clients and opposing attorneys to obscure facts and to delay cases. Jeffrey Dorsey is nothing more than a "good ole boy" with a big title and a small mind, and after my experience with him, it is my opinion that he is a blight on the legal profession and should be disbarred.

Do not hire this attorney, because he will not help you. He takes your money and sits around waiting on someone else to do the work for him.
