The Blodgett Lighthouse

Great customer service and staff. They checked and examined my chandelier and didn't do any extra work that didn't need to be done. Very fast and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

My experience has NOT been good. On 7-20-11, I went into this store with a broken China Cabinet light. The owner, Hank, assured me that he had a replacement light and qualified people to install and repair the lighting in my china cabinet. I paid $186.00 and bought the required lights. A week later, a technician called and scheduled an appt. The installer came to my home, talked on his cell phone the whole time, didn't throw any of the trash away and made a mess out of my kitchen that I had to clean up. He went to leave, but the light started flickering, I brought this to his attention and he took out the light, made a quick adjustment and left, still on his cell phone. The lights did work when he left, but the next time I turned on my china cabinet light, the light blew out. I called the store back up. Hank, the owner came out, assessed the sloppy work, apologized, took the light out and ordered a new one for me. I thought my problem was resolved. 3 weeks later, he never called back and I had to call him, he said he had to order the lights because they were out of stock and said it would be another 2 weeks-he had not previously ordered them. Again, 2-3 weeks, no call back. I called again, he said that the lights were discontinued and he would have to order a different set of lights. I asked for my money back and he said, 'No". He assured me he could order a different set of lights and they would be in in 2 weeks. Again, no call back. I called again, he said, the lights came in last week and he would schedule an appt. for next week for installation. Again, no call back, The following week, I called back, he told me he was 72 years old and he was very busy and it was my fault for allowing his first installer to do a sloppy job. It's 12-8-11, and I still don't have my lights and he still won't refund my $186.00. I gave him until the end of the week to install the china cabinets lights or I would take him to Small Claims Court. DON'T PAY THIS COMPANY UNTIL YOU HAVE THE MERCHANDISE AND IT WORKS PROPERLY!!!! I will also be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau.

My husband & I were building our new house and needed lots of fixtures & fans & outside lighting. THEY HELPED US WITH ALL OF IT! Not only did they help us find a different style for every room like we wanted but they called us to help us and even came to our house!!! Now thats what i call above & beyond service.
