We live in a rural area and many diseases that we vaccinate against still exist in our wildlife population. Protecting your pet against preventable diseases is a key component to keeping them healthy. Each pet has individual exposure to disease and will have a vaccination schedule designed to suit his unique needs.

There are thousands of drugs and herbs that could be prescribed for your pet. Although we don’t have every veterinary drug in stock, we do have most products available for your pet at our clinic. We stock different options of heartworm preventative medications and flea and tick products as well as prescription diets at our clinic. If your pet needs a product that we don’t have available at our hospital, we can special order what he needs. Please contact our knowledgeable staff if you have questions about your pet’s prescription products.
Pain Management
Often, pre-anesthetic medications are given before your pet’s surgery to relax him and make the experience less stressful. In addition, we will administer pain medication to pets so that they will not experience pain after surgery. There are many anesthetic agents to choose from; we will decide on the optimal combination to suit each individual pet. We use gas anesthesia on almost every surgery. Our clinic experiences far less than ½ percent chance of your pet having ANY surgical complications before, during, or after surgery.
Radiographs (x-rays) help veterinarians diagnose many potential health problems, including the location and severity of bone fractures, the identification of foreign bodies, heart disease, cancer, and broken or impacted teeth.

Spaying and Neutering
We perform a wide array of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in addition to routine surgeries such as spaying and neutering. If there are surgeries that we do not have the expertise to perform, we will refer you to a board-certified surgeon who can perform the necessary procedure.
After a physical exam is performed on your pet, our staff may need to do additional testing to be able to confirm your pet’s diagnosis. We are proud of our in-house diagnostic capabilities. The equipment that we have available gives us the capacity to perform complete blood counts, blood chemistry panels, and urinalysis. In addition, we can do microbiologic exams, cultures and exam specimens for parasites. Having the ability to do laboratory testing at our clinic saves time so that we can make a diagnosis and get your pet treated as soon as possible.
