Stop & Shop

My customer experience was outstamding!!! I want to thank all of those who helped find my Change purse today!I would like to thank everyone who took the time to look in all the shopping carts for me! I was so happy when Gail from customer service called and told me they located it. There were only pennys left in my Change purse but it had sentimental value! Ty again! Glenda padula. The road seemed to stretch on forever. The dashed white lines of route 1 seemed to blur into one long never ending stream. Then all at once, the realization hit me... I forgot to get my groceries for the week. Panic and fear began to beset my mind as I raced along. Then all of the sudden I saw it, like a beacon of salvation, the stop and shop sign. Its warm glow drew me in as I pulled into the parking lot. Giddy with anticipation I walked inside. It was like being at grandma's house on Christmas. Warm and inviting, I felt like I belonged here. The air smelled of delicious baked goods and fried foods, like a carnival of old. Every department had its own special something. The produce gentleman were happy to assist me and the cashiers were happier than a little boy with his lollipop. But yet, there was one department that truly changed my shopping experience and perhaps even, changed my life. The deli department. I walked up and immediately felt as if I was among friends. "Welcome what can I get you?" the handsome bearded deli man asked me. "excuse me" I stammered. "you look so familiar, and handsome. Like Ben affleck meets Ryan gosling kind of handsome" he laughed. "I get that a lot" he shyly replied. After he got my cold cuts (perfectly I may add), I stayed around to marvel at the efficiency of these people, these heroes of the grocery store. All the ladies in the deli were working as hard as they could. Not stopping but to cast a friendly smile and greeting to their customers. The older, adorable gentleman worked while chatting with his customers, impressive to say the least. I cast my gaze over to the prepared foods section to see the manager loading his cases with a wonderful variety of deliciousness.



After several hours of laughing, loving, and learning, it was time to part ways with my newfound group of friends. But, it was not the end, oh no, merely the beginning. I come back almost every day to see my friends, nay, my family, at your local plainville stop and shop...
