We got a mold problem in our attic. I had no idea who to call, but I found MSI on the net, and gave a call, which turned out be really great. Joe came to see our attic and told us why we got mold. There was no water leak. But he explained our attic had ventilation problems, causing moisture accumulation. Joe also told us how we should control attic moisture problems by installing attic fans and ventilation systems and using a dehumidifier. He even explained what types of attic fans we should purchase. I felt Joe had a significant knowledge and experience in mold control, and right away, I decided to get a contract for mold remediation. MSI did a great job, removing and killing all mold. Joe explained each step and procedure they needed to do and told us why, which made all sense to me. Now our attic is perfectly clean. MSI is highly recommended.

When I decided to decorate for Christmas I went into the attic and discovered that several of my boxes had mold on them. I called MSI and spoke to Joe who came out and preformed an inspection. About a week later we scheduled the work and MSI came out to clean the mold. The process only took a few days, and they were extremely clean and courteous. Since I left them a key to my house because I had to work, I thought I would have to guess at what was going on, but I got a call each day from Joe to update me on what was done. I was so impressed by their professionalism that I would recommend them to anyone, as the attic is now completely clean and free from all mold and moldy items.

Had a flood in my house after Lee and hired a company to dry it out. They assured me that there wouldn't be any further issues, took their money and left. A few months later, my wife was convinced there was mold in the basement. We called MSI and they came out the following day and preformed a mold inspection and showed us thermal imaging of wet spots behind walls we couldn't see. They did the mold removal work, showed up everyday on time, were clean and every professional. My insurance company required a post remediation test, and that came back fully clean, which made it incredibly easy for us to get most of our money back. JOE is the most informative person when it comes to mold...WOW! My wife and I were in the final stages of purchases a home and we found a leak in the laundry room during final walk thru. Joe came out to investigate a mold issue that became known in a house my husband and I were considering purchasing. He was very thorough, knowledgable and courteous to the situation at hand. He came out the next day to test the air quality for mold and provided our results while updating us to the status of the pending results. What I liked best about Joe was he is a real straight shooter. When asked an honest opinion, he gave us his and he has been much more helpful during this process than anyone else we had worked with. Hurricane Irene left me with a flooded basement. I called M.S.I. on a Sunday and spoke to a live person instead of a machine. I explained my situation and was told someone would be out to my property within an hour. 40 minutes later they pulled up to my driveway and began pumping the water out of my basement. In a short time, the water was out and they were fan drying everything. I was told that I wasn't the only person they were helping, but you never would have known it by how fast they were on site and working. We cannot speak highly enough about M.S.I and its owner Joe. Recently we hired M.S.I to clean-up some mold we had in an attic crawlspace. When we called to have the space tested for active mold, Joe worked with our schedule and came out after we got home from work two days after the initial call. During the testing he explained everything he was doing and was more than willing to answer any questions my wife and I had. He explained the different treatment options to us and gave us an honest recommendation on what treatment we should pursue (i.e. – told us straight up that it wasn’t necessary to do the most expensive option and why). Within a week we received an official report from the testing, along with a clearly written contract explaining the treatment we had agreed upon, the responsibilities of M.S.I, and our responsibilities. Once we scheduled the treatment Joe stayed in communication with us, making sure to let us know about any delays that would affect our start time. When we needed to switch the schedule around, Joe was extremely accommodating. During the entire process it never took more than a couple of hours to get Joe on the phone, in most cases I was able to get him immediately. During the treatment M.S.I showed up every day on time, worked the entire time they were there, and actually finished the job a little earlier than expected. M.S.I did an excellent job containing any mess to the area they were working in, and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. We have been dealing with a lot of small contractors lately, and I have got to say it was really refreshing to work with a contractor who not only did the job well but understood how important it was to communicate what was going on with us. Had an absolute tragic moment in the lives of our family and needed the services of a company who could restore some sort of order. Called M. S. I. about a month ago and told them about some water I was having in the back of my basement every time it rained. They came out the next day and discovered that I not only had a water issue, but mold as well. Within a week, they cleaned all the mold and waterproofed the back, but it hasn't rained since. Yesterday we had rains like we haven't had all year, at least two inches, and I didn't get a drop of water. Just wanted to take time to thank them and also let other people know of the great job this company does.

Recently we had a leak in our roof and a few weeks later we discovered a serious mold issue in two bedroom ceilings. I called another company that came out and gave us a price of over $6000. I found M. S. I. on here and read their reviews and gave them a shot. Joe came out and provided all the certifications on site and insurance papers and then gave us a price of under $3000. They came out a few days later, cleaned all of the mold and then tested it in front of us with a swab instrument to show us it was clean. This company is very professional, extremely clean and totally worth every 5 star review they have.

We had what turned out to be a small mold problem behind a finished wall in our basement. Joe with MSI Waterproofing responded quickly and assessed our needs. He remediated the mold; located the source of the water infiltration through a crack in the poured concrete basement wall; and repaired the crack with a chisel out/three step fill process. I am confident he has fixed the problem. He cleaned up after himself, took extra care to respect my property, and respected me thus earning my trust and respect. I have no hesitation recommending Joe to anyone if they want high quality and a reasonable price.

Thanks again to M. S. I. We thought we had mold on our basement joists and called another company that my neighbor used to come and give us an estimate. They didn't do any testing and gave us a price of $9600 to remedy the problem. Feeling a little skeptical, my wife researched and found M. S. I. on here and read their great reviews. They came out the next day and did an extensive mold test and discovered what was thought to be mold by the other company wasn't mold at all and nothing had to be done. MSI did a great job installing a french drain and sump pump in my basement, and waterproofing the bricks on the front of the house. The basement had flooded more than ever before around the middle of April, and when I called MSI the next day, Joe said he would be able to come out the next day to assess the situation. He had confidence in the solution he recommended, though he wished that the fix didn't have to be as costly or extensive as it was. He began the job only a day or two after the contract was signed, and worked every day for four or five days until it was done. They carried in and out several tons of material, and cleaned up any mess that was made in the process. He called every day with updates on the work, making sure to clear all decisions with me. He even brought a plumber to connect the sump pump to the sewer line, so I didn't have to find another contractor to coordinate that part of the job with what MSI was doing. Joe even added some extra complexity to the system due to constraints imposed on the job by the structure of the house, and didn't charge for it.

Though it hasn't rained again yet as hard as it did when it flooded, I feel confident that when it does, the system will do its job very well. He has been open about getting in touch if I have any questions or issues, and I will most likely be calling him back when I need the next set of structural or waterproofing work to be done on the house.

Joe and his crew were amazing. The service was nothing but professional and all work was done in a timely manner. I had extensive mold and water damage in several properties which I am involved with. We recently moved into a new home, and after a series of rains, our basement continually would get water in various locations. There was puddling in the corner, water running down one part of the wall, and one more spot where the water would start in another corner and run all the way down the opposite end of the basement. We found MSI here and read their reviews and had them come out. I met with Joe who was very respectful and friendly and explained everything in full detail. Their crew did the work with Joe on site everyday, and they were tremendously clean. Last night it has rained like it hadn't in years, April 16, 2011, and our basement was completely dry. An extension that was put onto our house started to flood with water. I googled waterproofing companies and MSI came up with the best reviews.



I called them right away and spoke with the owner Joe. He was extremely friendly and professional. He managed to look at the damage the next day and started working on the house three days later. All other company's that we contacted couldn't even start the work for at least three weeks. Joe and his team made a French drain system and also fixed the existing pipe work that left the house. His team did a great job and we haven't had any more water problems.



I would highly recommend these guys. They live up to all of these great reviews and I never write reviews so seriously give them a call if you have any water proofing problems.

We had a French Drain system installed in our basement just two years ago and it has failed to control the water.  The company who installed it has since gone out of business.  I came online to look for a company and read through their reviews and found M. S. I.  Joe and his crew did such a great job and completed it two days before the recent rain storms and this is the first time in years that our basement is dry.  These guys are the most honest, cleanest and respectful to deal with, and the fact that the owner is always on site is a big plus for me.  Joe is also the most patient person to deal with as he explained every last detail to me with updates every day.

I had a major leak in my basement and called M. S. I. today, which is a Sunday, and got live person on the phone. They came out to my property, took the water out of the basement, ran fans and blowers to dry everything out and disinfected the entire room. They also found the source of the water and plugged it up and now everything is back to normal. Thanks so much for your response and hard work, even on a Sunday. Every time we had a driving rain up against the house, we would get water above a window and our front door. I called roofers, window repairmen and brick pointers and no one could find the problem. That's when I decided to call M. S. I. They came out the next day and did a water test on the front of the house and showed us that the water was penetrating the bricks. Then they covered all of the windows and doors with plastic and sealed our front completely. It's amazing now to see the water just bead right off of the bricks and our home is completely dry.
