Our Mobile Veterinary Service is focused on the treatment of small domestic animals, as well as farm animals such as cows, pigs and sheep. We perform examination, vaccinations and treatment of various pet illnesses. We provide in home service and emergency support. Our staff is highly trained and has acquired extensive training and experience in the field of veterinary medicine. It is our goal to accommodate most minor pet health care procedures. Nutritional Counseling
Mobile Veterinary Services provide testing of your pet feces to identify intestinal parasites. Parasites can be zoonotic in that they can be spread to humans from infected pets. Especially vulnerable are small children and immune compromised adults. Some of the most common parasites are roundworms (ascarids) and hookworms. Infected animals may exhibit signs of vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite and weight loss. FLEA AND TICK CONTROL
Comprehensive Examination
Mobile Veterinary Services recommends that your pet receives physical examination at least annually and when it is exhibited any of the following symptoms: vomiting, diarrhea, and coughing, sneezing, change in eating / drinking habits or abnormal urination.
Cats and dogs can get heartworms from being bitten by infected mosquitoes. Yearly heartworm testing and monthly heartworm preventative is recommended for all dogs. Administering monthly heartworm preventative is also recommended for cats; however, yearly testing for heartworms in cats is not required. Failure to detect and destroy heartworms will eventually be fatal to an animal. FECAL SAMPLE TESTING AND DEWORMING
1. Feline Leukemia (FELV) - The feline leukemia virus is a major cause of death in cats, and is transmitted primarily via saliva injected through puncture wounds obtained in cat fights. The FeLV vaccine protects the huge majority of cats, and is strongly recommended for cats who are exposed to open populations of cats.
