Holmesburg Christian Academy (HCA) was established in 1975 as a ministry of Holmesburg Baptist Church and now serves approximately 200 students in Preschool through Eighth grade. We fuse discipleship and creative thinking into every aspect of our curriculum and school culture to individually shape students from various walks of life to be both inspired and prepared to make a meaningful difference for Christ’s glory in an ever-changing world. The exceptional and loving faculty and staff at Holmesburg nurture and develop a biblical worldview at every grade level, preparing your child to compete and thrive in today’s increasingly complex society in a way the honors the Lord. HCA standards far exceed those of public and charter schools by combining challenging academics and diverse extracurricular activities with Christian spiritual formation to cultivate in students a genuine zeal for learning, a lasting moral compass, and a heartfelt desire to make the most of themselves, both in and out of the classroom. HCA teachers personally invest themselves in understanding how your child learns best in order to maximize their unique talents, and ultimately reach their God given potential. Students are equipped with the academic fundamentals, critical thinking skills, character, and self-confidence to learn, lead and shine in any high school and eventually any university in the country. God is the Creator and foundation of all wisdom and the source and authority of all truth. Education has its highest meaning and purpose only as it relates to God’s sovereign plan and purpose. The educational philosophy of HCA is rooted in God’s inerrant word, the Bible, which differs significantly from secular viewpoints taught in public and charter schools. The Christian values taught at HCA will empower your child to make the right choices – both today and in the future.
