Dr. James Smartt graduated from the University of Chicago and earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He followed this with a plastic surgery residency and fellowships in pediatric and craniofacial surgery, where he did extensive work with adolescents with cleft palates and refined his expertise in rhinoplasty and otoplasty as a result. Dr. Smartt served on the faculty at several prestigious institutions and has been the recipient of numerous awards and research grants.
