Founded in 2002, Belmont Charter School serves more than 400 students in grades one through eight. The school is a part of the Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia, which is a nonprofit partnership organization that offers various academic programs. The organization s schools also provide yoga and dance classes for adults. Its schools organize family events and offer emotional, mental and behavioral support services. The Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia s schools provide reading tutoring and art and creative design classes. Its schools athletic activities include basketball, kickball, soccer, karate and tennis. The organization s schools operate chess and kids clubs.
