"Thomas Sean William Petit, M.D., specializes in internal medicine and brings over a decade of clinical and research experience to Conviva Pembroke - N. University. Dr. Petit completed an internal medicine residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, from July 2017 to June 2020. He earned his medical degree from the Latin American School of Medicine, LASM, in Havana, Cuba, from August 2005 to December 2010. Earlier in his career, he obtained a Physician Assistant degree from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine in Los Angeles, California, from June 2002 to August 2005 and practiced as a physician assistant for nearly a decade. More recently, Dr. Petit was House Cardiology Officer at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, from June 2016 to June 2017. His work in research includes Research Assistant, Morningside Primary Care Clinic, “The Importance of low salt diet in hypertensive patients,” advisors: Chancellor, Daniel M.D., and Broderick, Harris, M.D., September to December 2005. He also conducted an independent study to determine the causes and relationships between undertreated and misdiagnosed hypertension in low-income families, under the supervision of Dr. Iluore Augustine in summer 2004. Dr. Petit is a member of Doctors for Global Health, the National Physician Alliance, and AHME. He enjoys languages and is fluent in English, Creole, French, and Spanish."
