Paramount Urgent Care - Orlando

DO NOT GO HERE! Let me start by saying that the doctor and the PA's are very nice. Visited this urgent care three times after an MVA to be seen. The front desk staff are always unprofessional, rude and disorganized. They would forget to give me referrals, give me wrong intake paperwork and the doctor would have to call me to correct it. The second visit the rude CNA forget to take the pulse rate monitor on my finger and walked out.The last and final visit the person (paramedic) who took my vitals, was very abrasive, condescending and rude. He asked me for my age and list of current medications that their doctors had prescribed, of which is clearly listed in my chart. When I informed him that I did not remember the med list,he then became angry and ripped off my BP cuff and threw it in the basket. He proceeded to slam the door on the way out and yelled in the hall to his colleague that I refused to give him the list of medications and my age. During check out the front desk girl was nasty and rude. She too was argumentative, when I asked as to why my co-pay was different from what I was told by my insurance company. She started to yell and scream at me with a waiting room fill with patients. She was so disrespectful that the physician assistant had to help me check out and write out my scripts. I called the officer manager who was at the Villages location the following day and I was told by that the owners would contact me in several days and I was never contacted by them although, I did call back to speak to them. I only went to this urgent care that is over 20 minutes away from me because it was listed on my health insurance plan and the closest one had closed. I would suggest going to Centracare or Dr. Phillips hospital if you are an adult and Nitelite pediatric for your children around the corner. They have always been professional when we have gone there. I am truly thankful that I did not bring my kid to this place after the accident and I will never visit any Paramount location again!

It stinks to need a doctor while vacationing but this place made it as painless as possible for me. My condition was a minor one, however, I was in and out WITH medications in hand within an hour!! They stock several (non- narcotic) medications on site, plus they have several on site lab tests and even an x-ray..... A major plus when you're on vacation. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and caring. They filed my insurance so it wasn't painful to the wallet either. A positive experience all around for me. I was back at my resort before the rest of my family was even awake. :-)
