Outlaw Blues Restaurant and Saloon

My one and only time to Outlaw Blues was a dissapointment. I love Blues and wondered "where's the blues?" Typical styled place, no creativeness. I guess playing it over the speakers and hanging an Elvis poster was enough. Normal heavy meal menu, common to the area, unfortunately. I went with a group of people (five) and our food wait was over a half hour. Only one raved about their food, but had to put up with large pieces of meat, uncut - seemed to be common with other salads. Sign of lack of care, get it out the door from the kitchen.



There are NO meatless options. The closes option was an omlette with sausage and cajun sauce (meat based). Ordered without meat/sauce and manager refused to give discount (has never happened to me in my five years as a vegetarian - says something there). On top of that, omlette lacked flavor.



Someday, southern Illinois will become creative with food options. If you like a typical lunch/dinner, you'll like this place.
