Obviously have experience in roofing, methodical and organized, are not a "Jack of All Trades"

Gary and his crew are some of the best and most respected craftsmen in Northern NJ. I had him estimate a small siding repair and during his inspection of the repair uncovered some sub-roof damage. I knew the roof was old and in need of repair, but Garry educated me on the repairs, what it would mean to my house if I postponed it and gave me honest quotes of what it would take to repair. I appreciated the honesty. One of the other contractors barely got out of his truck to give me an estimate. The new roof looks great and I would definitely hire him again.

STAY AWAY!!!! I hired Up and Above to install my roof and siding a few years ago and what a nightmare. When they installed my roof they cut the shingles off to close to the edge and the water runs down behind the siding and caused my wall to rott and now i have mold problems. Another section of my home was a flat area where they should have used pvc material and they did not, Now my living room cieling if about to cave in with water damages. My siding in a couple areas fell of the house and you can see it was not nailed properly. They installed vented soffit which they just drilled there own holes in, WHAT A JOKE. They do not stand behind there work. I called and asked for and estimated on the work pretending there company didnt do the job and i recorded there estimator walking around my house ripping apart all the mistakes, when he asked who did the job i told him his company a few years ago. After battling to spaek to the owner he told me maybe it wasnt there best work but it was a few years ago and i was trying to get something for free. I will be taking them to court

We needed a roof replacement and we interviewed many contractors. We chose Up and Above Contractors because Gary was knowledgable, personable and seemed to be very trustworthy. The roof came out beautiful. However, we are still finding roofing nails from the tearoff in our lawn, garden beds and lawn tractor tire. Upon contacting the town to find out about the inspection I discovered the roof was completed prior to the permit, as a matter of fact the permit was not applied for or issued until after the roof was completed. It was difficult to communicate w/ roofers as they spoke spanish, only 1 spoke broken english - I had a question w/ the work and called the office and finally had a foremen come out to answer my questions. The office, Jackie, his wife nice to deal with only until the roof was completed then fabricated a story about going to the wrong town for the permit then got nasty on the phone. I would not recommend - work was good but business mgmt and cust service was not.
