Overall
Best Gym... EVER.

The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers has everything you could ever dream of in a gym. You like to rock-climb? They have the largest rock wall in the Northeast. You like to take classes? They have an incredibly wide variety of offerings. You like to swim? They have a beautiful Olympic-sized pool (with a sun-deck overlooking the Hudson!). You like speed workouts on a track? They have both a 400 meter and 200 meter track... inside! You like to box? There's a boxing ring/equipment. You like to play basketball? There are several courts in the gym. You like to play beach volleyball? Well what do you know, there's a sand volleyball court! Besides all that, there is every cardio/weight machine you could imagine. The locker rooms are awesome, there's a great little cafe with a myriad of healthy options, plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. What more could you want?!

Best Club in the City!

The biggest and the best ... you'll never be bored at the Sports Center. You can join as either a full-access member or a weekend member - plus the rock wall is open to non-members, as well as their triathlon training programs. Right on the Hudson River and the bikeway/walkway. Worth it!

Overall
Best Place to Workout in NYC

I moved to New York City to advance my career. I was hoping to counteract the long hours at my desk with some sort of physical activity. My former life in the New England region consisted of lots of hiking and other outdoor activities. Athletics were natural in that environment. I stumbled across Chelsea Piers at the recommendation of a colleague. Since then, Ive enrolled in their amazing triathlon-training program. Im now in the best shape of my life (and am eagerly awaiting the trip home for the holidays!). Who knew that Manhattan offered a supergymrock climbing, boxing, mile indoor track, swimming, sand volleyball, basketball and much more all within one convenient location!
