These guys are scammers - Don't use their services!!!



After being two and half hours late to an appointment to fix our Danby wine refrigerator, the technician showed up only to tell us that we need to order a part based on a number that was displaying in the control panel (we could have easily read this to the guy over the phone so he came prepared and not wasted our time).



After telling us that we need a new evap sensor, he then told us we have to pay $92.81 for service charges ($85 plus $7.81 tax) and that that amount would ultimately be deducted from the cost of the part. We wrote them a check for that amount, after complaining that they should have had us read off the number to them over the phone so that they could order and bring the necessary part with them to install.



We then heard from them the next day saying that the part costs $64 from Danby and that they will additionally charge us another $50 for more service charges.



At this point, we called Danby personally and they said that their part costs only $3.50 and that they're NOT associated with this company. We thought that they were associated because of this link from Danby's site: http://www.danby.com/l... We were completely mislead to believe that this company was associated with Danby, that the service charge was $85 and that that amount would then cover the part cost, and we were blatantly lied to about a part costing $64 when it actually costs $3.50.



This company should not be in business and and we've reported them to the BBB so that other consumers don't have this horrible experience as we did. They are taking advantage of Danby customers, who trust the Danby brand, and they are lying about costs and service charges. We have canceled our check so that this fraudulent company can not take advantage of us and I hope that BBB writes them up.
