- Dr. Svetlana Yampolsky moved to New York City at age 14, and soon after, enrolled in the Cooper Union School of Arts prestigious high school program. She then pursued a Bachelors of Science in Psychology Sciences from New York University. She went on to obtain her DDS degree from the New York University College of Dentistry, and she completed her residency in General Dentistry at Maimonides Hospital in 2001. Since then, shes remained committed to continuing her education and remaining aware of the latest advancements in oral health and dentistry. Dr. Yampolsky has pursued post-graduate education at the NYU College of Dentistry in the following areas: "Contemporary Aesthetic Dentistry: Creating the Winning Smile in 2002, "Occlusion and Temporomandibular Disorders" in 2003, and "Implantology: Surgical and Prosthetic Treatment" in 2006. Shes also served on the faculty at NYU College of Dentistrys department of Aesthetic Dentistry, providing students with hands-on skills in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Yampolsky is a highly professional, detail-oriented dentist, offering a unique combination of advanced training, extensive experience, and an artistic eye. Her background as a painter gives her a unique approach to every mouth she works on. Due to her knowledge of color, shape, form, and facial proportion, Dr. Yampolsky is devoted to making your smile a masterpiece one thats both glamorous and natural-looking. This is demonstrated in the book, The Master Ceramist, a collaboration with renowned ceramist and smilemaker of the stars, Jason J. Kim. Her work has also been featured in Womens Health, 4Health, on 87.7 FM and RTVi, and on other major media outlets. She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Oral Systemic Health, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Yampolsky lives in NYC with her son. Veneers have changed my smile and my life. It looks so perfect and natural. If you want the best smile in NYC you should visit Dr. Yampolsky.

My wife had Invisalign done with absolutely stunning results. We have had fantastic experiences with our regular hygenist cleanings as well. Dr Yamposkly is honest, professional and very personable. We really appreciate the personal approach we receive each visit.

I like Dr. Y. She is treating both myself and my husband. I did whitening and 1 root canal. Was it fun? No - root canal cannot be fun, but I really think she did a quality work.
I have been with Dr Yampolsky for 3 years now. I actually like her very much. I did not do any of the advance stuff (veneers etc.), but I had my share of fillings, cleanings and even a couple of crowns over the years. She is always smiling and Sam on the from desk is very nice (she has been there as long as I remember). I tried to put this review on Yelp, but the good reviews get filtered right away.
This is the worst dentist I ever went to in my life! PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF!! I went to the office with a toothache and the dentist said I need a root canal and she would perform a pulpotomy to relieve the pain.
I had to stop her four times during the procedure for extra anesthesia because I felt everything she was so painfully doing! Afterwards, I was taken into a room by some seriously underqualified manager- who looked like she was in high school and told me I needed $16,000 worth of work. I told her I am 23, I have insurance and I don't have that type of money and she shrugged and handed me a bunch of packets and told me I should apply for a loan.
After the visit I was in excruciating pain for about 3 weeks. I later found out that she did not do the root canal completely and had to go to another dentist to get the tooth done. Best part is I WAS CHARGED COPAY FOR THE WHOLE ROOT CANAL PROCEDURE. Please find a dentist who at least knows how to deliver anesthesia!!
