Crosstown Custom Shade & Glass

Run a mile! YP Searchers please note -- this is a real review from an actual customer. I ordered a very expensive window shade in linen beige. It arrived in a disgusting greenish color. Crosstown utterly refused to acknowledge any problem. They tried to get me to order a replacement in a color I did not want, for more money. Even after I RETURNED the shade, they refused to refund my $500 deposit. This is a REALLY nasty outfit.

I had and awesome experience with Crosstown. They covered every window in my duplex apartment with all types of treatments - shutters, shades and drapery and it was a very difficult job. My windows were extremely large and hard to treat but they figured out a way to do them. They did an amazing job and paid attention to every detail. In my experience, when one of the shades I ordered was installed and the color looked so different in the room than what I expected, they exchanged it or me. Apparently, as a large dealer they have an exchange program where you can exchange it if you don't like it for a nominal fee. This firm is top notch and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the market for custom window treatments.

I've been dealing with Crosstown for 12+ years for my apartment, weekend home and office jobs and think they're great; I've recommended them to others who share my opinion. I've come to know their staff well, which is a big help, since I don't have to be home supervising them. And, the fact that there's been very little staff turnover says alot about their operation. They recently completed the job of covering the windows of my entire house that included a room of motorized shades --- this huge project took nearly two years and required precise measuring, plus the coordination of delivery and installation of products from several different manufacturers. We hit some snags (and delays) becuase of defective or incorrect material from their vendors, but that could have happened to any retailer. Marcy and Jeff also helped me prioritize the different stages of the job so I could space out the work --- and the payments --- which helped alot with budgeting.

We have been a customer of Crosstown Shade and Glass for many years using them for all of our window treatments including shades, blinds and curtains. They have also done our shower doors mirrors and 2 glass table tops. They are extremely professional and have worked with us from design to installation. The quality of their work has been excellent and they have always delivered on time. They were very helpful in color selection of shades and understanding how the light would change the look. Even if I came in with a crazy idea they were able to figure a way in which to make it work. Their installers are friendly, clean and neat and always on time.

We had an opposite experience from the other reviewers here. Marcy was super helpful and we found the high quality products and installation to to be fully worth th price. Highly recommended.

Crosstown is the only place for me. I am a first time customer and was very pleased with the service and the help of the design team and installers. The project was completed in a professional and timely manner. Wonderful attention to detail, excellent design advice. Project included installation of shutters and blinds - getting rave reviews from my friends and family. Prices were very competive.
