Gene Olson Electrical Contractors just installed recessed lighting in my kitchen. They were everything you want from a contractor. The price was fair, the men were on time, very friendly and professional. They kept me informed through the whole process and did a great job and cleaned up after they finished. I highly recommend Gene Olson Electrical Contractors and would not hesitate to use them again!

My breaker which controlled my water pump malfunctioned several times alerting me of a problem. Through Steven Brooks I contacted Gene Olson who came out the very same morning and got my water pump working and also presented me with a much more permanent solution....my breaker box was over 40 years old and needed to be replaced including adding an outside breaker box for my RV which I store next to my garage. Gene's crew came the very next morning and installed my new and IMPROVED breaker box including an additional outside box for my RV. MY PROBLEMS WERE SOLVED!!! Reasonably priced, fast response, genuine concern about resolving my problem....I highly recommend Gene Olson Electrical Contractors for solutions to your electrical problems!!

I recently had to have the knob and tube wiring replaced in my home. I saw Gene's good reviews on this site and called. I am incredibly glad I did. His quote was very reasonable and the description of the work to be done was well written and detailed.

He started the work sooner than I expected and completed it in a very timely and professional manner. During the process, we communicated via email and phone, and questions/concerns were responded to very quickly.



One of the things that really prompted me to to recommend him was this: After the knob and tube wiring was completed, there was some confusion over who was responsible for the patching. Other electricians may have argued or renegotiated. Not Gene. He was very honorable and made the decision to also complete the patchwork with no fuss or bother.

His company is highly efficient, very professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. I recommend Gene to anyone needing electrical work done. Not only will it be done well, you will have piece of mind too.

As a Hurricane Sandy victim, Gene made rewiring the entire house including several sub-panels a worry free task. Fairly priced, very through, on time and very accessible 24 x 7. Workers were respectful of our home, very neat, and did a great job ! They were very accomodating, working around my schedule as well as all of the other contractors doing work on our home. Gene also made several great suggestions about things to add or think about, that I would have never thought of. Overall a great experience for what I first thought was going to be massive job. We decided to renovate and suddenly found ourselves with an electrical emergency. A friend recommended Gene, and thank goodness he did. Gene came out the following morning, and he and his associates fixed everything faster than we thought possible. My husband, myself and our kiddies were very pleased with the work they did, and how kind they were. Highly recommend!

My wife and I completely renovated our house. This included removing everything except the 4 exterior walls. Gene and his crew came in and installed a complete new electrical system along with fixtures. Gene guided us through the process explaining what we would need. He gave us suggestions for each room as well as places to look for the fixtures we would need to complete the job. This also included running the cable tv lines for several different rooms. All of the work was professionally done on time and within budget. We are extremely pleased with the work performed and the ease at which the process went. We were selling a house and needed a new electrical panel and other services to be completed to meet the settlement date. Gene quickly scheduled an appointment to discuss our needs. Gene was extremely professional and patient with the changes and additions we made, and was always available to answer our questions. The work was completed quickly and cleanly so when the township inspector came in for certification, there were no concerns about his work passing the first time.

Highly recommend! The gentlemen just finished installing a breaker for my microwave and did a neat and quick job. More impressive is the quick response time-first thing in the morning after the original phone call. Also a very reasonable price. I will have them return after the holidays to do more work to correct electrical issues.

I had been 3 weeks without a Kitchen stove. I had an electrician out and he told me thay my fusebox and all the fuses would need to be replaced and that the incoming voltage was too high. I had the electric company come and and they rteasurred me their end was fine. I was at my wits end so on Friday I called Gene. On Saturday morning, Gene came to my house and within 5 minutes had diagosed my problem. My stove was working with half/hour. Gene took the time to walk me through my electrical and tell me what I really needed and explained why. The price was 10% of what the original electrician told me. Gene saved Thanksgiving for me and my Family and I will be forever greatful. In all my 61 years, I have never so over impressed with a contractor!!

I first met Gene when I was selling my home back in June of 2002. We needed a few minor electrical repairs and every electrician I called wanted to charge an arm and a leg just to walk through my door.
