After recently moving to the area my dog had a lump appear on her belly. We took her in and he gave us options. We decided with her age we would not put her through surgery to remove the cancer. As the lump grew we took her in periodically and he was very nice gave us options and possible scenarios and left the decisions up to us. When it was time to put her down he gave our family some time with her and he petted her helping her relax. He explained what would happen once he injected her and let us decide if we wanted to be in the room or not. He was very caring and professional as we were all sobbing. After we said our goodbyes and she was gone the receptionist gave us options for cremation. They answered all of our questions and gave their condolences. When her ashes came in they called us and when we picked up they again were very nice and professional. We will continue to bring our pets here.

I wasnt going to post this, but seeing there are other BAD reviews, here is ours. Been going here for years, but NEVER again. Brought dog to vet Terry Woods, DVM in Mustang, OK 2 months after May litter to have her spayed. Vet says her hormones are still too high, bring her back in 30 days. We ask if we can give her something so she doesnt go into heat. He assured us, that was unlikely. In 30 days she went in heat, unexpectedly very early while we were out of town and gets pregnant. At 30 day appointment, Dr Woods of Mustang vet clinic is notified that she is probably pregnant. He says wait 30 days and then he will do a abortion and spay then. I research this, which says that is dangerous. I call Dr woods office back with concerns. I called another random Vet on OKC who said they would reccomend to do procedure asap. DR WOODS assistant agrees with me and we discuss bring dog back later in day or end of week since she is still in heat to do spay. She would of been at most 1 week pregnant. The assistant NEEDS DR WOODS APPROVAL FIRST, she calls me back within hour and says the doctor wants to wait 30 days anyways and that Dr. WOODS says that is normal to wait, even though she would be at least 30 to 40 days pregnant. The 30 days appointment was today. That is now 3 times husband took off work to bring dog to appointment. 3 times we withheld food for AM surgery. Today Vet, Dr WOODS, Says he won't do the procedure because she is too pregnant. DUH. The fact I called and pointed this out 30 days ago, didn't make a difference. Trying to do the right thing and have her spayed by this vet 3 times, and now she is due soon and we will have to find more homes.

Have taken my pets here for 15+ years, but since they have redone their building, the prices have skyrocketed. Costs more to take my pet in for a check up than it does for me to see a human doctor. Seems they have picked up the scam Pet's Mart's Banfield clinic does when going in. You can go in for something very simple, flea treatment for example, and they will print off a LONG list of things which need/should be done (no it doesn't) totaling $700 and mostly a lot more. But wait, you can buy pet insurance for as little as $75 a month to help cover all these costs! Sad, but now I have to find another vet for my pets as this is too expensive anymore.

My daughter called to get an estimate for cleaning her dogs teeth. They told her $200. I took her dog in for her since she was working. Once we got there, there were all these tests they wanted to do and by the end it was almost $1,000. While we were sitting in the waiting room, a man was yelling about the price they had charged him way exceeded what he had first been told. Guess we weren't the only ones with this problem! We left without getting anything done...that estimate cost us $45. Not a pleasant experience!!

All I can say is the receptionist was very nice. Dr Wood however shocked me as to how cold his attitude toward my daughter was considering she was putting her cat of 14 years down after two years of illness. I'm in no way an animal expert but giving the anthesthetic to the cat in front of my daughter in my opinion was unprofessional. Most vets take the animal back, get them situated and calmed down then call the "parent" back. He also insinuated more than once that she was less than caring. My daughter has cried for days knowing what she needed to do and I do not believe someone who did not care who choose cremation so he will always be with her. I am all around disappointed and the only reason I am giving two stars is because they do offer cremation and the nice lady on the phone. Maybe it is time for you to retire if all you feelings and bedside manners are gone.

I highly recommend Terry Wood. He has taken care of my animals for awhile. He is very caring and knows what he's talking about. His prices are reasonable and he never takes advantage of you as a customer.
