        Monroe Police Department is a city department that offers public safety services. The department s traffic unit is responsible for enforcing North Carolina Vehicle Code statutes, enforcement of local traffic ordinances and investigation of vehicle collisions. In addition, it has a speed trailer that helps in solving traffic problems. Its narcotics unit investigates illegal drug activities that occur in houses, apartments, businesses and other buildings. The police department is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies and is located in Monroe, N.C.

        I thank God for A.L. Craig who helped me today when my car broke down. He stopped because my hood up and he checked out what might be wrong with it. Then he called a wrecker and stayed with me till they got my car off the road. He kept me calm through this ordeal for me. :)
