Multi-South Management Service

We reported bed bugs to our property management for COOPER YOUNG APARTMENTS 2116 #2 and Nu Era Pest control was contacted to perform treatment. We were made aware that we would be billed for the service. During treatment the service technicians left bed bug infested items in the floor and did not do a thorough inspection of the entire apartment. None of the surrounding apartments were treated and they could possibly be exposed to bed bugs as well.

We immediately evacuated the apartment and discarded all the furniture. My sister returned with a new air mattress to sleep on but continues to be bit by bed bugs every night and this was 2 days after treatment. She is allergic and the bites are irritating her skin. We reported this information and management showed no empathy or make an attempt to accommodate us as this is a serious health hazard. Instead we were blamed and told we had to pay for a second service and to take it up with the pest control company.

As a current employee of Bed bugs, I had to educate her on the possible reasons for bed bug treatments and that it is almost impossible to determine the cause so I feel we should not be held accountable or billed being that there is no proof that we brought in bed bugs with us. Also there was a poor inspection done and we were not allowed to select our preferred vendor for service.
