Weddington Middle School, located in Matthews, N.C., offers education to students in grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes subjects, such as language arts, physical education, social studies, mathematics, science, journalism and computers. The school s subjects also include social science, foreign languages and special education. It provides a wide range of services, such as career counseling and academic guidance. The sports activities offered by the school include softball, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, cross country, tennis, golf, soccer, wrestling and swimming. It also provides a variety of extracurricular activities that include student council, yearbook and newsletter. It has clubs that include beta, math and science clubs. The school is a part of the Union County Public Schools.
