i had severe problems with a malfunctioning toilet and water pressure. the plumber arrived promptly on time, introduced himself & handed me his business card. his diagnoses was that i needed a new toilet and a pressure reducing valve. my wife is a stickler for details & wanted to know about options for the new toilet (height, seat design, etc.). he quickly answered all of her concerns (something i can rarely do), and was on his way to pick up the toilet of her choice. he returned within the hour, quickly replaced the toilet & installed a new pressure reducing valve. he cleaned the bathroom floor, leaving it spotless. the service and the installations were done far beyond my expectations. i would not hesitate to give sundial my highest recommendation!

CODE VIOLATIONS. LIMITED & USELESS WARRANTY. FAILED TO COMPLETE THE JOB.

EXPENSIVE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.



I hired Sundial in 0ct '11 to replumb our entire house. It cost $4900. My issue is that when I just now finally got around to remodeling our 2nd bath, our contractor saw that the pipes in the crawlspace had never been finished nor were they all capped off as they should've been. CODE VIOLATION. No wonder we so often smelled sewer in our house!



I contacted Sundial immediately. They told me I hadn't paid for that. Excuse me?!! I paid to have the entire house replumbed not just one bathroom. Each rep gave me the biggest runaround, excuse after excuse.



I spoke to Patti Fratalia, Managing Director, she played the typical game of pretending like she care. Listened to me, said how very sorry she was, agreed the pipe should've been capped, etc. Only to then ask, "So when would you like us to come give you a quote to finish the job?" OMG! Is this really how little Sundial feels about their customers and about their quality of work? Obviously.



I refused to play her game. This was about principle for me. I demanded a refund for the $220 it was going to cost me for our guy to finish their job. Patti lead me along to believe she would consider the refund. She asked me to take photos of the pipes. I did. She asked me for an invoice for the work done. I gave it to her. She asked for the name of the contractor who did the work. I do so. Only to be told days later that "Sundial was so sorry for any frustration that this may have cause me, but unfortunately, it was out of my warranty. Had I contacted them prior with these issues........ they would have been glad to help me."



What a shameful joke! Drag me along for days and for what? And, for just $220. Wow! I guess Sundial also expects their customer to go under their house into the crawlspace to inspect their work to make sure they finished their job properly? Never happen.



Patti then did her best to deflect Sundial's accountability by saying our contractor wasn't licensed in GA. Another pathetic attempt to shift the focus.



DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

We do care! Absolutely, Sundial does care. Sundial delivered everything as committed and described in each contract, which we both agreed, each time in October 2011. Of note, is the documentation of multiple bid revisions, all of which were in writing and agreed to before work was performed. Because you did not know where the future bathroom remodel fixtures would be located, the plumbing was not and could not have been roughed to the exact location. The contract was revised to exclude all piping for the future remodel, however, Sundial installed piping to the remodel vicinity at no cost to you. See contract #8006-11 Revision #2. Additionally, from October 2011 to June 2014 our records reflect no requests for odor or other issues. Had we received any inquiry, we would have responded immediately, specifically, our dispatch process mandates top priority for the few call backs we receive. Therefore, 2.5 years later, when the remodel is being installed, the pipes are in close proximity, but not roughed to the exact location, meaning there will be costs to complete the rough phase, now that fixture locations are known. When Sundial installed trunk line to the remodel vicinity, the rough costs were reduced for the remodel. On the recent visit, June 5, 2014, while Sundial's technician visited your residence and discussed the plumbing work with your contractor on-site, we were directed to do no work, specifically to the trunk drain Sundial installed. We are sincerely sorry you have been displeased. Communication regarding construction remodel and plumbing infrastructure can be challenging for everyone. We at Sundial, remain open for future discussion and meetings. Sometimes re-reading the contracts, revisions, and our twelve each number of correspondence recently exchanged in chronological order can help clarify, as that is what we do as well.

When we had a leak pop up on a Sunday, Sundial agreed to send out a tech. He diagnosed our leak as coming from our bathtub (cost to fix: $3600). But we quit using that bathtub and the leak grew so we called again. The same plumber came out and again insisted it was the bathtub. My wife had to insist he cut through the drywall to look. Sure enough water was spitting out of the cold water line to the upstairs sink. He tried to repair by soldering, but as he was packing up to leave we noticed it was still leaking. So he replaced the pipe, and responded to my concern about high water pressure by recommending we replace our water heater. We declined; he seemed disappointed to leave with only a $500+ bill. We were left with a chewed up ceiling (he started cutting under the tub and had to keep cutting) and solder embedded in our carpet.

Disappointing...

I recently needed a plumber and fortunately for me, I chose Sundial!! Of course these emergencies ALWAYS happen on the weekend and I was no exception. My water heater had sprung a leak. I only had a million other things I could have been doing instead of trying to find a good quality plumber. Nevertheless, I found Sundial's number and called them in a panic. I could tell from the moment I spoke with their knowledgeable service rep, that this was a top-notch company. I was impressed that they 1) answer the phone on the weekend and 2) provide emergency service on the weekend. I was notified when my tech, Gary, was on the way to my home. Upon Gary's arrival, he instantly put me at ease. I liked that Gary was able to quote me an exact price for what needed to be done. He was friendly and confident. Answered my questions and explained as he went. He worked efficiently and wiithin a couple hours, I had a brand new heater. What... a ...relief. Thanks for coming to my rescue, Sundial!

STAY AWAY !!! I was scammed by this company and they ripped me off by overcharging me! Go look at other reviews on Yelp, Kuzdu, etc., and you will see that this is very common for Sundial Plumbing. Keep your hard-earned money and hire a fair plumber instead!

Super Service Anytime

I work nights at my job. My wife called me at work the other night and told me that our floor was soaked in the basement. That the water seemed to come out of nowhere. I was hesitant about dealing with it while I was not there. With my wife being at home alone at night is an unsettling thing. I asked around work and found that Sundial had worked on a couple of coworkers house and did an outstanding job. I called them and had a very pleasant conversation. A technician named Glen showed up at my house within an hour of my call. I was stunned. Service like that is rare these days. He was polite and very knowledgable about what he was doing. He explained what he was doing in each step to my wife. My wife does not understand plumbing well. So for her to be able to explain to me what work was done was impressive to say the least. I would recommend Sundial to anyone. The quality is set above the rest. You can hire your handyman. If you pay cheap. You get cheap. I prefer the job done right over the job being done cheaply. Sundial will service my plumbing needs from now on.
