Such a disappointment from auto Atlanta I don't even know where to begin, I'm in the process of building a 1976 Porsche 912E and I was in need of a new hood I found that auto Atlanta had a new old stock hood for $445. My autobody shop that is repainting the car contacted auto Atlanta to verify if they still had the hood and if it was the proper size. Then I contacted auto Atlanta and spoke to Drew he was so unprofessional in his customer service skills I had told him that I was interested in the hood and that I was going to be purchasing it. I asked him if they would take $400 for it and his response was no I said do you think there is any legroom to play with the price and he had specified that the hood was sitting up in their warehouse since 1976 and still have not sold it so I asked him could we do $440. His response was no so I told him that I was at work and that I didn't have my credit card on me to purchase the item but I was going to be calling him first thing in the morning I had been asking him about shipping cost he specified that it would be roughly $100 I called him the following morning not realizing that it was Saturday and they were closed so I called them first thing Monday morning and spoke to Drew. I had told him that I was ready to purchase the item and his response was the hood had an increase over the weekend it is now $695 I had asked him why and he said that you could not find a hood in such good shape for under $2200. I then told him that I had spoke to him less than 48 hours prior to this and that he had told me that the price was for $445. His response to that was if you wanted the hood so bad for $445 you should've purchased it on Friday. He had said that we had had multiple inquiries about the hood and in that case the price has increased. He told me that there is an auto body shop that was also interested in it I had told them that was the auto body shop that is painting my car. In a frenzy I responded just make me an invoice before the price goes up again he had specified to me that he was going to send me an email confirming the invoice purchase. The following morning I received an email with a total price of $695 for the hood and $255 for shipping after Drew had specified to me that it would be roughly $100 for shipping. I feel that I did not get the respect and service that I deserve. I then contacted them spoke to Drew I asked him to speak to a manager and his response was I am the sales manager so I spoke to him and I told him that this is not the way to do business. His answer to that was that I am not a shipping company I can only give you an estimated quote and I responded that roughly $100 is no where near $255. I am so disappointed throughout the years I have purchased parts from auto Atlanta I will never attempt to purchase any of my parts from auto Atlanta again and I will make sure that all of my mechanics never put one part on my car that comes from auto Atlanta. Mr. Drew the sales manager should not be a manager at auto Atlanta he is so inappropriate and untrained the way he treats his customers I had called multiple times asking Drew to speak to the owner he said that his name was George. I have left several messages with Drew for George and never once have I gotten a call back. I have always spoken so highly of auto Atlanta to all of my project buddies building their cars. I will make sure that I will never ever mention auto Atlanta's name again.
