Micro Center

I love them so much. They have online level deals so that I can save and still get my item the same day by shopping online and using the 18 minute pickup. They have affordable warranties for everything.

Great deal. The staff was friendly and helpful. They got us out in nice time. We will for sure come back again for our next computer.

I tried on multiple occasions to have them do a custom build computer for me. Talked to a guy, had a few back and forth emails, and then he just stopped all communication.

I called the store and waited on hold for 50+ minutes. When I explained the situation, they asked me if I wanted to work with the same person that was "helping" me before to which I said "obviously not". They sent me over to a different custom build rep. He said that he was very busy that day but if I could email him the specs of what I was looking for, he would take a look the next day.

I sent him the email, he emailed me back to let me know he received the info and would work on it the next day.

5 days later I had still never heard from him. I sent 5-6 emails with no response.

I called the store, waited on hold about 10 minutes. I asked for a manager and was told that none were available but one would call me back within the hour.

4 hours later, I receive a call from microcenter and rather than a manager, I get called from a sales person trying to see if he can still sell me a computer.

I never received contact from a manager.



For anyone that wants a custom build, try Eggheads in Lake Orion. They were definitely on top of things and I'm glad Microcenter dropped the ball so badly or I never would have found them.

Huge selection. I asked an associate if they had a specific product and he looked at me like I was stupid. I Looked around for another 15mins and found exactly what I asked for

If you are looking for anything computer related, this is the place to be. Micro Center is like a toys'r'us for computer needs. Couldn't believe how large this place is and all the computer accessories they offer. This store has a lot of computer features for every computer need. My hubby loves this store. The employee's are great too. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Ready and waiting to help.

This store definitely has a better selection of computer related items then many other brick and mortar stores in the area. They also have way better prices than stores such as best buy. However, if you are tech savvy, the sales staff will probably seem incompetent - as many of them don't know what they are talking about if you ask them about specifics. Also - their prices are somewhat high compared to other online stores - such as newegg.com.

This is a nice store if you know your stuff. If you're a beginner, like me, you'll probably feel kind of lost in this store. Also, they have good prices compared to other stores normal prices, but other store's sale prices likely beat this stores prices, so shop around to get the best deal.

Micro Center is my first stop for anything computer-related. The staff is knowledgeable and straight to the point - it seems they are on some form of commission and sometimes get a bit focused on putting a sticker with their name on it somewhere on your purchase so they get credit, but it doesn't really lessen the value of having nearly everything pros or newbies need to get their pcs or macs up and running or upgraded. I really recommend this store.
