Sunset Ranch Hollywood Stables

Yes, back in town and had to go back to Sunset Ranch. I love the ranch and the view. We took a nice long ride tonight to have some dinner over the hill in Burbank. Riding back at dusk was really peaceful. Last time I was in Los Angeles I took the hour ride, so this was a great treat for me and my date, prrrrrrr...............



Our guide was cool. Horses-sweet, of course.



Yes, we paid for our own dinner. Yes, we had to tip our guide. Worth every penny, and more! 2 of us was $200, for more than a 4 hour ride (plus tip and food) and I think it's a great deal. This was a really great way to spend the evening and my date loved me for my originality.



In case you don't know this, the Sunset Ranch Hollywood is at the very top of Beachwood Canyon, past the parking, hidden away. When we rode over the hill we were right under the Hollywood sign. Afterwards we went down to Hollywood Blvd to check out the Hollywood Walk of Stars and Grauman's Chinese Theater. That actually was a bit of culture shock after being up on those trails for hours.

What more can I say? I had a great day visiting the ranch, riding a horse and seeing the nice panoramic view of the mountains. I will bring my friends next time so that they too can experience a life away from the noise in the city.

Glad I didn't fight the traffic today to make it out to the beach. Not that I don't love the beach, I do, I just knew that the traffic was going to be miserable. Beautiful day today and I just wanted to have a really chill day. Grabbed my buddy and we went up to Sunset Ranch Hollywood Stables to have a ride. As usual, it was awesome!



We had a really cute, really nice guide, Amanda. I'm a rider, but still had to go through all the paperwork, wear the helmet, and didn't get to run my horse, but it was all worth it for the vibe up there on those trails. Perfect day!



Go for it, it's a great place to spend a few hours. So NOT Hollywood, and that's what makes it so "cool".

Perfect weekend here in Los Angeles. My wife and I decided to go back to Sunset Ranch Hollywood yesterday. It was pretty packed up there, I guess because of the 3 day weekend. We had to fill out all of the paperwork and when we were finished we were paired up with two perfect horses with great temperment.



We went on a two hour ride which was $45 per person and had a nice tour guide. It was quiet and peaceful and we could see the whole city when we got to the top of the trail. This is exactly what we needed today, some peace and quiet, and a slower pace for a while.



We will be back and I would suggest the Sunset Ranch Hollywood to anyone. We went on the hour ride last time and it was good, but I would suggest the two hour ride, just to clear your mind.

I enjoyed looking at the mountains while riding a horse. It is a quiet place where you can have peace of mind, forget about the problems in the city. The horses are nice even the guides are very friendly. I would definitely tell my friends to visit the ranch, I 'm sure they will never regret it.

Life is good! Today I had a chance to ride a beautiful horse at Sunset Ranch Hollywood. We went to Universal Studios (yes, we are from out of town) our first day in town, yesterday we went to Hollywood to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame and today we went to ride horses at Sunset Ranch Hollywood. I love L.A. and all that it has to offer. Everything we have done while in town has been so fun, our favorite though, was this ranch. Simple, quiet, gorgeous horses, rustic, and very COOL!



I guess we rode for about 2 hours. It was $45 each. There were some other people in our group and we all got some great pictures on our horses. I do wish there were souvenirs, though. I saw some t shirts and shorts, but I actually wanted something different. That would be the only suggestion I would make, and trust me, that is no big deal. We got our pictures, hugged a horse, saw Los Angeles in a very different way, and this will go down as the best day of our vacation!!!



I would tell everyone to do this. Locals and tourists. It was real, not like a "tourist attraction". We loved it.

I was amazed of the view while riding a horse, slowly the horse walked and I can feel the fresh air coming to me. It is a nice place to unwind and relax, forgetting the problems, polluted air and noise in the city.

I should recommend this place to everyone I know. I am looking forward to visit there again.

The sunset was fantastic to see while riding a horse. We enjoyed the experience of horseback riding, the horses are tamed and well behave. We rented a horse with very affordable price, it's good for the family, friends, lovers. We also took pictures of the mountains and trees.

The view of the sunset was very astonishing. Spectacular indeed!!! I was happy leaving the ranch fullfilling the simple joys I have. Love to come back and take the horseback riding again.

Wow!!! What a day! I just got home from the coolest horseback ride, EVER! I was looking for things to do in Hollywood and am so glad that I found Sunset Ranch Hollywood. I'm so glad I went. My horse was beautiful, tour guide nice and knowledgable about the history of the property, the view??? AMAZING!!! I never knew that the ranch was up at the top of Beachwood Canyon and that I could get so close to the Hollywood sign. I'm sore, but it was so worth it! We rode over the hill, had some nachos and margaritas, then rode back. I am going to go back and I will never, NEVER forget this day. I would suggest it to everyone. We had so much fun feeding carrots to the horses and then going on our ride. The horses have such great personalities. My guide knew I was nervous so I got paired up with a really sweet horse.

I really enjoyed the experience of riding a horse

especially when you see the view, all you see is mountains.

It's nice to spare a time to go there were you will be away from the noise of cars,

dirty pavements. It is very refreshing.

Horse back riding is amazing. Actually it is my first time to ride a horse, at first I thought it's that difficult but someone guided me. I was lucky enough to get a horse that is not wild.

I'll find time to go back with my family and friends because it is a nice experience.

Horrible. One of the worst.

The horses are a lot less perky than most stables, they look tired and lifeless. The staff is short tempered both at registration and out on the trails. You can get a much better experience at a petting zoo...unless, you like riding in a single file line. There are several better stables very close by, go to one of them and enjoy some pleasent horseback riding. We did!
