Chisholm Trail Barbq

I am surprised no one has reviewed this place. It is a local favorite. Maybe everyone wants to keep it that way. I live in the Lockhart area. This place is simple, not elegant. Not quaint like Black's BBQ but better prices. They have more choices of both hot and cold side dishes than any of the other places. They also have days when they serve fish, chicken fried steak, and I think you can always get chicken. It gets very busy there on the weekends. It takes 20 minutes if the line is all the way to the door, which it frequently is when busy. They get you through as fast as they can. I am always amazed how nice the people behind the counter are. You know they have to serve tons of people every day but they always seem in good spirits and friendly.
