Overall

My grandmother is 96 and in a nursing home. She lost her glasses and I called the front desk to see if there was a way for here to come in without waiting 2 hours and the lady said no that's our time. I explained she has been there before and it's just to hard on her She really did not care I'm sorry they feel someone this age might just need to be taken faster. I asked her for suggestions and she said no Poor customer service.

Patricia (Coworkers know her as PJ) began her working career as a switchboard operator for a Business College downtown Kansas City. She then went on to begin her career in the Medical Field in 1972 in a Private General Medical Practice as a patient service representative. She then moved to a Multi-Specialty Practice continuing to work as a Patient Service Representative with various other office duties. She started her career in Ophthalmology in 1984 working as a Team Leader over the front office, then moving to Administrative assistant, and on to Administrator over several locations.

There are various diseases that affect the retina and macula. The most common being age-related macular degeneration (AMD). AMD occurs as a very common part of the aging process. Prevalence is high in individuals 50 years of age and older. AMD is the leading cause of blindness for the elderly in the United States.
