Peters Brothers Meat Market

I used to buy their products in the 70's and 80's and they were five star plus at that time. Their summer sausage has become much more greasy when I recently bought it, after a number of years without visiting the ABE area, where I used to live, and their bacon has also become much more watery. The flavor of the bacon is still great, once you cook out the water. It's cured with brown sugar, and has a strong smoke flavor. I would pay more for leaner summer sausage, and less watery bacon. I have bought their products since the mid seventies, and sadly, quality has deteriorated from five star plus. They make good country sausage, but have never made their own frankfurter, which I have always wanted, especially in a natural casing.

Great place to buy meats. They have the best Smoked Sausage. We have lived in Florida for 12 years and have meat shipped down to us every year.
