I was in Harmon for 2 long weeks because it was where Health Plan of Nevada sent me after Knee Replacement Surgery. In all that time I only had one caring nurse,he rubbed cream on my back and buttocks were I was developing bed sore. I did get an Infection in my Incison and had to have IV's every 6 hr.

Harmon Rehab.Hospital gave little though to clenliness or the confort of their patients The staff wore gloves, more for thier protection then the patients, almost no hand washing. The floors were dust mopped almost every day,but only damped occasionally. The P.T.would come in ,say he would be right back and not come back.Call buttons were not answered for a 1/2 hour or longer. I was given so much laxative and stool solfener my veins collaped from Dehydration.

It took almost 24 Hr.to put a Pick in my arm and re start th IV's I lost atleast 5 days of Rehabilitation time and had more pain Thank to Harmon

HARMON SCROOGE HOSPITAL

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CHECKED OUT BY THE STATE OF MEDICAL HEALTH AND WELFARE. THEY HAVE YOU SIGN PAPERS WHEN YOU CAN'T READ THEM BECAUSE YOUR GLASSES ARE PUT AWAY ALREADY A THE C-PAP MACHING WHICH COVERS YOUR ENTIRE NOSE YOU CAN'T GET GLASSES CLOSE ENOUGH TO YOU FACE TO READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING, THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO PICK ME UP FROM DESERT SPINGS HOSPITAL AT 9:00PM THEY SHOWED UP AT MIDNIGHT BY THEN I WAS SHOT ON 2 OF MY MEDICATIONS GOING ON 3. I KENW IF I STAYED THERE I WOULD NOT LEAVE THERE WALKING IT WOULD BE IN A BOX ! tHE MAIN NURSE FOR THE EVENING GAVE ME A SHOT IN MY PICK LINE WITH OUT TELLING ME WHAT HE HAD GIVEN ME, CERTAIN MEDICATION I HAD TO TAKE THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY WAS NOT DONE, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS MENTION TO THEM 4-5 TIME THAT DAY, I NEED MY ELAVIL AT 9:00 PM EVERY NIGHT FOR I HAVE M.S. AND THAT IS HOW MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED THEM AND THATS WHAT I DID , THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW I SAID I HAVE TO GO HOME I HAVE THE MEDICATIONS I NEED AND A CPAP AND NEBULIZER AS WELL I WILL CALL MY DOCTOR IN THE MORNING, WELL WHEN I WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING I HAD LITTLE DOTS. EVERYWHERE THEY GREW UNTIL THEY FUSED IN TO ONE LARGE HIVE I HAD BURNED FROM THE INSIDE OUT SO WHAT EVER WAS GIVEN TO ME AT HARMON I WAS ALLERGIC TOO , AND DR, KENNETH SMITH FROM DSP HOSP HAD ME TRANSFERED THERE WITH NO MEDICAL OR MEDICATION INSTRUCTIONS HE ALSO DID NOT TELL MY WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME! HARMON DID. THIS DOCTOR WOULD NOT EVEN HELP WITH MY DME EQUIPMENT HE SAID HE JUST WORKED ON ME IN ICU?! TO THIS DAY I FEEL THE POPISON IN ME, AND I AM SCARED TO BE MY SELF IN FEAR OF ANOTHER ATTACK. ONE STAR IS TOO GOOD FOR THIS PLACE.

wouldn't send my dog there

An absolute nightmare. I took my father out AMA in order to save his life. He developed a pressure sore, and his condition was slipping into oblivion. Please, if you can avoid it, don't send a loved one there. If you must, be present, be in their face and be vocal. Hire 24 hour private care if you can, and pray!!

Overall
hell hole

it is the biggest hell hole i have ever been in my life..... the staffing is poor there is only 1 RN to every hallway .. if that .. some RN's cover 3 hallways.... the LPN's are rude and helpless.... lazy nurses.... I like 2 RN's while i was there and the nursing supevisor Jane or what ever her name is is useless.. i complained to her about the LPN's and she did nothing... the wound care team is run by a stupid fool who thinks he knows everything.... i was put in 3 different beds and on 3 different units.. first and observation unit while waiting for a bed... run by a redheaded rude LPN who is so nasty i wonder why she works there.... useless ... mean nasty thing she is.... i had to put up with her for 3 days ... thats was just the taste of the LPN's .. the rest were the same as her ... i would not go there ... ever....

donot go there.. run for your life.... they should be closed down....

This is an unfair comment...along with the rest of these negative reviews. it's funny how people are so quick to complain when they have a problem. In these cases..it's usually a problem with 1 or 2 people in the facility. The rest of the staff (and the facility itself)should not get "trashed" because of them. Some of us work hard and take pride in what we do along with truly caring about our patients. Harmon happens to be a terrific facility!!!

HORRIBLE!

This facility is horrible. My mother has been there a week now and hasn't gotten one bit better or rehabilitated. I thought Vegas Valley was bad - but this place is worse. And I didn't think that was possible. The nurses are either inept or overtasked. We requested particular pain treatment on Friday and the order wasn't written until Monday . God help the state of insurance paid medical facilities and those that have to use them!
