Molly McHugh's Irish Pub

A group of friends and family got together around the holidays to enjoy some drinks and one another's company in downtown Lakeland. Unfortunately at most gatherings like these, one person has a bit to much to drink. When that relative tripped over a chair in Molly's the other local patrons helped him up and made sure he was okay. However the bar back stormed up to the individual, grabbed his arm and said "out!". None of group in attendance had ever been treated so poorly by bar staff and the owner. Instead of calmly trying to divulge the situation they heightened it. As customers that had just ordered about $200 in drinks the least we expected was a respectful "is he okay, unfortunately this does mean you have to leave". That would have been completely understandable. Instead the aggressive bar back began pulling a gentleman that just feel on his head out of the bar obnoxiously. Followed by the confrontational owner explaining to us that he was stumbling drunk when we had walked into the bar. This same owner that had just served the "stumbling drunk" 3 drinks in the course of 40 minutes. There was no reason for curse words, police threats, or the 10 minutes they then made us wait to pay the tab after asked to leave. ALL THE OTHER BARS IN THE AREA ARE GREAT, AVOID THIS PLACE!

Attendees of the Lake Mirror Classic, do NOT go to this establishment! Two years ago, they stole my credit card info. I was asked to leave a credit card to run a tab at the bar, and this was the one and only place I used this car during my visit to Florida. A week later, my bank is calling me about questionable charges at a Finish Line store in the Tampa area. Add insult to injury, when I went in there to confront the manager today, he called me a liar, and told me to leave the bar. So, not only are they thieves, they also have horrible customer service. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
