Cool beans

This coffee shop is the best in La Crosse. I have been to various local coffee and nearby towns, but nothing can beat the quality of coffee and customer service at cool beans. It is usually filled with either couples getting a quick coffee and casually conversating, or there are a lot of college students studying (since it is so close to UW-La Crosse campus). There are an abundance of windows and they have a garage-door type window/wall (so there is a lot of nice natural lighting) and they have a decent amount of seating, as they use the trendy old-school elementary school seats.

Go here if you want to get a great cup of coffee and have a good conversation with friends, or need a good study spot. They have a great menu, with a lot to choose from including chai tea lattes and smoothies, and have giant desserts for very reasonable prices.

The customer service here is AMAZING, every barista there is so genuine and kind, they are so personable that it makes your day. They take time to get to know you and acknowledge you as a regular, will remember your name and order.

The only downfalls here are the size of the place (sometimes it is so packed I walk in and immediately leave because there are so many people), the pricing (some specialty drinks end up being a little over $5), as well as parking (it's positioned very awkwardly at the corner of an intersection). Nevertheless, these little things shouldn't stop you from coming in. If it's too packed, you can get your coffee to go. Expect paying a little more because they are high quality drinks (and it's better supporting a local business than going to your local starbucks and spending $5 on crappy coffee). Lastly, if parking is that much of an issue, they even have a drive-thru!
