The Public Works Department is a part of the government of Upper Merion Township in Pennsylvania. The department is responsible for the maintenance of roads, parks, farms, buildings and vehicles. It manages pumping stations and sanitary sewer lines. The Public Works Department also offers stormwater and road occupancy permits. The department provides municipal recycling programs for jars, plastic and glass bottles, and aluminum, steel and bimetallic cans. It offers snow removal services, as well as stormwater management programs. The department evaluates the new methods of pavement maintenance. It provides municipal industrial pretreatment programs. The Public Works Department additionally reviews development plans.
