Smart Start Academy

When Smart Start opened up two blocks away from our house, I couldn't believe our luck. The school was spotless, well-organized, and full of all the learning centers and activities necessary for young minds and imaginations. It was exactly the type of environment I was seeking for my daughter's social, emotional, and cognitive development. From the first week, it was smooth sailing. We started at only three days a week, but are full-time, and she is loving every minute of it. She tells stories every day about what they learn at school and her friends. She tells me how much she loves her teachers. She can't wait to get up and go to school each morning. I can't say enough about good things about the staff. They are kind and patient. The communication with parents is excellent. When my husband's schedule changed unexpectedly, they immediately stepped in and were able to accommodate our need for more hours.

Smart Start Academy has been a wonderful place for our daughter. She has been attending for a year and a half and it has been a very positive experience for all of us. She comes home from school with a smile on her face everyday. She has learned a lot, gained confidence, made friends and loves her teachers. As a parent, I never feel I have to worry about my daughter while she is there. I know she is in good hands.

My son has been with SSA Hoboken since he was 6 months and honestly we couldn't ask for a better place for him. The teachers are super talented and the whole staff is always caring and pro-active. SSA Hoboken is the reason why my husband and I can go to work with a smile... because we KNOW our son is in great hands (plus, he loves the school and the fun activities).

I love their services, staff are extremely professional and caring, managers are on top of things, and my kids have had wonderful experiences. We are moving to another part of Jersey, our family will miss Smart Start.

My entire family loves SSA. Our daughter has loved going there since she was an infant. She loves her teachers so much. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We would recommend this school to anyone who is seeking a daycare/ preschool that will provide their children with a wonderful curriculum, love, care, fun games, healthy food and wonderful fellow students. Children will develop adorable friendships and learn so much- things we as parents wouldn't think of. I would give them 20 stars if I could.

My 3yr old daughter has been attending Smart Start since September 2011. Back in Sept, she was a timid, quiet girl. Today she socializes very well, interacts/plays very well with others, understands rules, knows hers letters and numbers, writes her name, knows a couple Spanish words and uses many non 3yr words like necassary, fabulous, negotiate, amazing, seriously, outrageous and more in her daily conversations. She has become such a funny character because she always incorporates her daily teachings at home. I am very pleased with Ms Cesia and the staff at Smart Start and have no complaints about this school. The staff is kind and knowledgeable .This location is new so everything is nice and clean, freshly painted and spotless. They do lots of crafts and projects, always something daily to bring home. I totally recommend this pre-school to anyone. Hope this helps anyone looking for a pre-school , I know its hard with so many places to choose from but this place is great and very affordable,compared to the others in the area, since they are still having their Grand Opening sale.Good Luck

I have learned while at this company. I have learned to become family with my coworkers. Management was good they where more of equals and respected me as a person.

The owners truly only care about money and not accommodating families and their needs. They market themselves very well and obviously have grown due to the demand of daycarenin the area, however they are very young, money hungry, discriminating individuals who care more about numbers than individual needs. I would never want my child growing and learning from this cold, empty hearted environment.

My son is in the one.. Love it! Very clean! Very professional! Teachers all went to college! Not just day care certifications! Far from those other places that are crowded with 2 many kids.. Food is Organic- fresh- and the directors have proved that they are involved and truly care for their kids.. My child now talks and is way smarter! Go smart start !

They use the Reggio-Emilia approach to preschool education, which translates to students leading the learning

We have nothing to say but great things about Smart Start Academy! This is an awesome school. The teachers and director are wonderful. The activities and curriculum are engaging and fun for the kids. Our daughter was able to learn at her own pace. Our daughter has really excelled here - she loves going to school. We searched and toured quite a few schools in the area and none of them compared to Smart Start. We feel super lucky to have found them! Our daughter has been attending since she was 2 1/2 - she is now 5 years old, entering kindergarten this year, and will be attending Smart Start’s After School Program. We would highly recommend this school!

We are really lucky to have found this school. The teachers are very nice and I never leave worried in the morning. I know that my child is learning, being cared for, and having a great experience with all of his friends.

This place is a little unknown gem

My son has currently completed a full year at smart start academy and at first I was was skeptical just like any normal parent would be. But my wife loved how beautiful,clean and spacious the school was, so we decided to give them a chance. I must admit it was the best choice I made in my life. This preschool turn out to be really good not only does my child love it and has become more independent but I feel comfortable and safe leaving my child there

The director Cesia Acosta and her staff are warm, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely dedicated
