Oscar Moving

this company is full of b.s. me and my 3 kids moved cross country and have been waiting for our belongings since oct.19th. when I call they say they will call back, somebody's in the hospital and even that the driver quit and so they are backed up. I'm buying things I already own just to survive. This company is a complete sham and I doubt if I will ever see my belongings and the best part is if you want to file a claim you have to pay your balance wtf?????? gave one star because it won't let me leave none!!!!

I wont even give this company one star because this is not a moving company. The guys will take your stuff and wont deliver even after a month. They will give you all kinds of reasons in this world for not delivering stuff on time. Most common reason is either driver died or drivers relative died. Your furniture or electronics wont be in its original format even if they deliver. They waste tapes and quote more than double the price after they put all the luggage in the truck. They accpet onluy cash so that they wont have to return it back. We didnt even hire this company, another moving company called regal moving system hired these guys indirectly. If you dont want to take the worst decision in your life then stay far far away from this company.

Stay away!!! I had called this company on July 10 told them i was moving from pgh to Fla.long story short did inventory ,got estimates,had to give 845.00 deposit. Well was told they would be at my house at 9am on Aug 1,2015 the day came and 10am still no movers mind you we had to be out by midnight thst day snd the sales rep assured me they would be there we sold our house and new owners wanted ownership,they where moving stuff in same day we were moving stuff out,i called company 22x from 10am til 130pm with no answer or call back left so many messages.unfortunately i had to call another company who thank God could come immediately,however. around 3:30p i get a call its oscar movers blaming me for them not showing up saying i didnt answer my phone even after assuring them i didnt have any missed calls or voicemail left and i didnt pay for phone Call I paid for them to show up!!anyway was hung up on ,been getting. Run around. And they refuse to give me my deposit back. When i mentioned lefal action they refused to even speak to me or accept emails.buyer beware!!

Should have looked at the reviews.. Day of the move, rates doubled. Team leader said he wasn't told of the large items.. but they were on the estimate. Was told it would take about 3 days to arrive -- nobody would answer the calls or return the messages. Ended up taking 13 days to receive. Broken furniture, too many damaged things to list, things put together incorrectly. And once again, nobody answers the phone to file a claim. Don't even go near these guys!

Did i mention in my review below that it has been TWO WEEKS that my sister and her children have been without furniture?? and what a surprise, she cant even get through to you guys! Upstanding company, let me tell you. STAY AWAY. Is she getting her furniture or did you sell it? Want to call her and let her know whats going on? would you enjoy sleeping on an air mattress for 2 weeks and not have decent bedding for your 1 year old because some scamming low lives? Give her a call and a refund and maybe i wont slaughter every review site for you guys.

Where is my sisters furniture you ignorant s*** heads? She has two children, one is a year old and you can't deliver

their furniture ? What do you expect them to sleep on you f*** wads ? Better business Bureau on your a**es. Hope you rot in he** for that sh**. Everyone stay away from these people. Obvious low life scammers. My sister can't even get through to you guys. Complete and utter joke.

These people are complete scam artists. STAY AWAY from these hacks, and use a reputable company instead (this is where a little research goes a long way!). These jerks went as far as to lie about drivers DYING over July 4th and their general whereabouts. Anytime I asked a simple question like, "Hi, where is my driver now," I would get the most sociopathic, ridiculous answers. They couldn't even truthfully tell me what state, let alone what city, my driver was in. These guys have made this move nothing but a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. Do not trust these scam artists, and please take your hard-earned money elsewhere. Oh, and what kind of shady company doesn't accept credit cards (only cash and money orders)? That's right: Oscar Moving, that's who!

This is the company you can not trust. Promised to deliver in 3-5 days, then take more than 3 weeks, it is ridiculous.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I WILL LEAVE THIS REVIEW ON EVERY REVIEW SITE THAT I CAN FIND.After taking $400 from my credit card for deposit (originally was suppose to have taken $240 but accidentally took $400 apparently) they confirmed they would be picking my stuff up on June 17th as planned. I emailed on the 16th to request an estimate of the time they would arrive but no reply. Then on the morning of the 17th i emailed again but still no reply. i called the number which i had called before but it was temporarily out of service so i found a new number and got through but was placed on hold for 15 mins. i hung up and called again this time getting through to "Nate". He said he heard them talking about my job that morning and i should be getting picked up soon and that he was going to get the driver to call me. Obviously that call never came. I called back 90 mins later and this time spoke to David as Alex the person i was originally dealing with was on a call apparently, wonder was it the same call from earlier and maybe why he couldn't answer my emails and Nate was conveniently as lunch. I was assured that the previous job just took longer that expected and i would definitely be picked up soon. so at 445pm i sent an email to Alex saying i was sick of their BS and if i was contacted in the next 15 mins tell the driver not to bother coming as i would turn him away. I also called and tried 5 different extension numbers to which i could get no answer on any. I have called my credit card company to get my money back and would just like to make sure nobody uses this company to move their belongings in the future so they don't have to go through what i had to. This company should be put out of business and i will try my best to make that happen.

We were extremely satisfied with the level of service and professionalism of both office staff and moving team. The movers were very strong, efficient, polite and highly experienced. It was well worth the price to hire professional movers. We will definitely use them again for our next move and highly recommend them for your next move! Thank you Oscar Moving!!!

From the very beginning of the quote to the unload, everything was very professional. Ben, the driver, did a great job of laying out the process and expectations and he met them. Our recent move from Boston to New York was a disaster, and felt like we were the victims of a “bait and switch.”



Oscar’s online “binding estimate” for the move was $1051 after we sent a description of the small apartment’s contents and agreed we would box everything but the furniture ourselves.



Our final cost was > 3 times the estimate, at $3226.75 and the way it unfolded was equally outrageous. Only after our possessions were in their truck did they disclose the actual charges they demanded, and create a new dilemma: they demanded cash. The driver: “We’re not a bank,” when we tried to use a credit card. We had paid the deposit with a card, and expected to continue that way. Turns out the cash requirement was deep in the fine print of the estimate, after a deceptive agreement for a credit card deposit. Oscar M. did not call this to our attention until they had our stuff. Yes, it was Our Bad, not reading carefully to the end.



We were in a hurry, of course, and they had our belongings, so we found a way to get the cash.



We had booked 4 months in advance, but got a call 2 days before the scheduled move saying they were going to pick up our belongings that night . We were able to delay them until the next day and crammed to get things ready a day early. They promised to deliver the following day. We waited 3 days before they arrived. There was no unloading the truck until we paid an extra $150 for stairway climbing. This extra was probably reasonable, but it was not spelled out in advance. Another trip to the ATM.



During our long wait for delivery and unhappiness with the huge jump in price, we called our agent Alex (855-571-4150) at Oscar Moving for updates on delivery and clarification of the price discrepancy. He took one call, promised to look into the matter, and did not call back. We have records of 14 subsequent calls to the office which went to voice mail or were taken by another employee, and never got a return call or any useful information.



After the delivery and the hasty sign-off and departure of the movers, we discovered some damage to our furniture. They had our cash money. They did not return phone calls. We had no recourse.

The three men (sorry I don't remember their names) who moved my belongings were extremely nice, professional, and efficient!
