Grace Baptist Church & School

I remember attending this church as a young Marine in the late 1970s and it took me some time to recover from the experience. What little faith I had was further diminished by the manipulative psychological warfare being waged. I was told that Jesus would love me more if I dropped an extra $100 in the collection plate. The man who ran the USO on Court Street (named Johnson)used to funnel lonely, vulnerable Marines to this church and attempt to cultivate them to recruit others to come into the USO. I remember that he sold KJV bibles there as well and told everyone that all other versions were "poison" and "satanic". I think you get the idea. I hope the place has gotten less cultic and money-driven. Shame and guilt is easily triggered in this church and you can come out feeling that you are the worst kind of human being in the world. They don't like it if you are a free thinker. If you are, don't go here.

These folks here at Grace Baptist Church are wonderful! This is the church that preaches the word of God without compromise in a day when all we see is falling apart around us. This is the church in Jacksonville that you can trust to tell you the truth, that you can trust to help you to know God truly. You can trust them to show you the way to Heaven from the Bible! You can trust them to help you guide your family. Some of the greatest decisions and victories in my life have been as a result of attending GBC! The school is wonderful as well--a long standing institution that will teach and train your children to know God in a godless age and society. Some great people have come out of this school! Don't listen to idiots out on for a grudge match...

A very cultic organization that will eat all your free time,demand money using the bible to beat it out of you,and leave you spiritually bruised and battered.I've never seen so many unhappy people in a church in my life;the leader here is an egomaniacal meglomaniac with paranoid delusions and control issues....bad for your mental health!

I searched and searched for a Bible Believing Baptist Church in the Camp Lejeune Area and visited a bunch of So Called Baptist Churches and let me tell you... Grace Baptist Church is the ONLY TRUE BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCH in the Area. I am so Happy that God is at work in this place, through this Local assembly of Believers. If you are looking for a Church Home, a place where they care more about Souls being Saved than what the latest fad is, then you need not look any further than Grace Baptist Church. The Preaching is straight from the Word of God (KJV) and isn't based on man's opinion but on "THUS SAITH THE LORD". There is children�s and adult ministries for every age, and they even have a Christian School. There are many opportunities to serve and the Church is made up of a lot of Military Families so there is a lot of support when loved ones have to be away from their families. I LOVE THIS CHURCH and I know if you would give it a chance then you to WILL LOVE THIS CHURCH TOO! Hope to
