Brown Mechanical Services Inc

Mr. Brown installed a (so called) new air conditioning unit in the summer of 2009. He warranteed his work for 1 year. This month,Oct. 2010, the unit stopped working. I called Mr. Brown about the problem and he told me my warranty had expired and to fixed what he thought was the motor he would have to charge me $67.50 x 4 to have it fixed. Because Mr. Brown is a complete and total IDIOT I refuse to give him any more business. I finally called a company that comes highly recommended by the BBB (John Moore) to come out and do a diagnostics on the unit and found that the motor had infact burned up (not what you would expect from a new motor, right?)In fact the JM tech found that the motor Mr. Brown had installed into the a/c unit was not the original part, nor would the manufacturer warranty the part because it was not theirs. The 5 year warranty with my a/c unit cannot be used simply because Mr. Brown did not install the correct motor. I would have not have found out that Mr. Brown was such a crook had it not been for the John Moore Company. I already new that Mr. Brown was a liar for the simple fact that over the course of that year, the a/c unit had way too many problems that needed services for the work that Mr. Brown had done but he never took responsibility for (It was always a manufacture defect; yeah right!) Short and sweet, do not use Brown Mechanical Services for anything unless you enjoy getting ripped off.
