We at A Parrots Cove pride ourselves on the level of care and quality of our baby birds. My Husbands favorite expression is "we have the sweetest birds in Texas". A statement I firmly believe in. We accomplish this by having our babies socialized by a caring and loving staff. When we are not busy, you will see me and my staff holding and playing with our babies. They are given toys at a very early age. I consider this a necessity rather than a luxury. Toys help stimulate their minds and keep them from destructive patterns of behavior. They are taught basic commands and to use their beaks in a good way. They are taught how to live with their human family before they are brought home. We happily work with our customers to explain bird behavior so that they know what to expect when they get their parrot home. Proper nutrition is a must. The old saying "you are what you eat" applies not only to us, but to our feathered friends as well. A long lived bird is a well fed bird, and we take that very seriously. Our babies are fed a healthy and nutritious diet consisting of pellets, fresh vegetables and fruits along with healthy snacks to round out their diets. Addictives are placed in their formula to strengthen and build their immune systems. No cost is spared to ensure they have the very best start in life. We are sure you will agree.
